    Description

We are a small family living in the countryside of southern Denmark, creating an off grid project in our beloved wild forest garden/land where one can fully connect to nature, live the simple barefoot life with the sound of birds, cooking over fire and forget all about careers and responsibility's.

We really enjoy working together with volunteers on sharing ideas and creating projects in off grid living, permaculture and creative projects. So far volunteers has been helping with finishing an off grid kitchen, gardening/permaculture projects, fixing and painting some garden furniture, collecting herbs, decorating a playhouse for children, and just general maintenance/gardening according to the different volunteers skills and interests. We have many open projects and we always ask volunteers what they prefer to work with, so that they do something they like and have an enjoyable stay here. We are very open to ideas to make our place even better, and we love to learn from volunteers. We really enjoy the cultural and human exchange that a workaway is, and we experience that both parts learn a lot, if it's the right fit.

Volunteers can stay in their own space in our newly build tiny cabins woth lots of atmosphere and comfortable beds in the middle of nature on our land amongst trees, birds and deers 💚
We are placed in walking distance to the sea where you can enjoy complete peace, since the place is quite remote, which we really enjoy ourselves.
There is no public transport where we live, but we will of course be happy to drive you to the city/station if needed. If you have interests in fishing, our part of the country is ideal for that.

We are a family of Allan, 42, a former carpenter, now working as a teacher/caretaker, enjoying woodwork and fishing trips. He has specal skills in bushcraft.
Katrine, 45, artist (painting) now with a special interest in homegrown herbal remedies , creating salves and tinctures as well as beeswax candles and natural skincare products. She is a beekeeper and uses honey and beeswax in most of her products. We love to grow are own vegetables, and we also use the abundance of fruit and berries in our forest garden for homemade wine and mead production. Our son is 8 years old and a wonderfull active boy whos loves to run on his scooter and rollerskates, and he loves everything connected to water. We both meditate in the buddhist tradition.
In our family we live an outdoor life without Netflix, gaming and Ipads.

  • Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

At our place it is possible to enjoy peace and quiet, and we both welcome volunteers, who for various reasons, are looking for retreat time in direct contact with nature, or the more extroverted volunteers who are welcome to join us in our daily activities or cultural activities. If you want to learn about woodwork, bushcraft, fishing, natural remedies and skincare, or wine production, we would be happy to share our skills.

We really enjoy the cultural and human exchange that a Workaway is, and so far we have learned a lot, and created new friendships and connections .
