    Description

Hi Marco 🚵 , I live in the countryside in Biella (located in the Piedmont region, in northern Italy), surrounded by nature, following a simple and practical rural lifestyle.
I’m happy to host people who would like to share daily life, help a bit, and enjoy a genuine cultural exchange.
In exchange for help, I share food, accommodation and good company.
The help needed is what you normally do in country life: help in the vegetable garden, preparing firewood, small maintenance tasks, and some easy task outside.
No special skills are required — practical attitude, willingness to learn and help are more important.
I have two double rooms available, so there is space and comfort.
I really enjoy company, sharing meals, conversations and experiences in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
This place is ideal for people who love nature, simple living, hands-on activities, and spending time together in a calm countryside environment.
I’m passionate about bicycles, especially MTB, and I love walking and exploring nature.
Guests can also borrow bicycles to go riding and discover the area together.
If you want to know more about me and my lifestyle, you can also find me on social media 🤗

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Hosting people from different countries is mainly about sharing daily life and experiences.
At my place, cultural exchange happens naturally: cooking and eating together, sharing stories, spending time outdoors, and enjoying simple moments without rush.
I like connecting Workawayers with the local lifestyle and the surrounding area. We can go for walks in nature, MTB rides, explore small villages, or just relax and talk after a day outside. When possible, I’m happy to introduce guests to local people and traditions.
I can share my knowledge about countryside living, gardening, basic home renovation, outdoor activities, and a more sustainable and hands-on way of life. I also enjoy exchanging skills — everyone has something to teach.
By hosting people from different cultures, I hope to learn new perspectives, habits, ideas and ways of seeing life. For me, the real exchange is creating genuine human connections and learning from each other in a simple and respectful way.

  • Help

    Help

The help needed is part of everyday countryside life and home improvement.
Tasks may include help in the vegetable garden, general outdoor help, preparing firewood, and assisting with small house projects, light painting or simple DIY tasks.
Professional skills are not required — motivation, a practical mindset and willingness to learn are more important.
The tasks are flexible and shared in a relaxed, cooperative way.

This host offers a language exchange
I’ve set my language level as intermediate because I don’t feel fully confident at the moment. In the past I used to speak English quite fluently, and I hope that this exchange will help me practice again and slowly bring me back to a fluent level. Sharing daily life and conversations with international guests feels like the best way to remove some “rust” 🙂

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

I provide two double rooms in my small countryside house. The rooms are clean, secure, and cozy, with wooden beams and traditional stone walls.
Guests will have a comfortable place to rest after a day of activities, surrounded by the calm of nature.

Meals are shared together whenever possible. I provide home-cooked food, often based on fresh, local ingredients, and guests are welcome to help in the kitchen or bring their own ideas for cooking.
There is always tea, coffee, and water available.

This is a relaxed and friendly home environment where everyone shares meals, stories, and experiences.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

The house is in the countryside, surrounded by nature, and I live mostly without a car.
Occasionally, I can borrow a friend's car to pick up guests from Cossato train station if arranged in advance.
There is a bus stop just 100 meters away on the provincial road, but buses don’t run very frequently, so planning ahead is important.
In their free time, guests can enjoy MTB rides, hikes in the surrounding nature, relax in the garden, or explore nearby villages. Bikes are available to borrow for local rides.
Life here is simple and relaxed. Guests are welcome to join meals, conversations, and daily activities. There are no strict house rules, just a focus on cleanliness, respect, and enjoying the slow countryside lifestyle.
