Description
We run a private Residential School in Morshing village (Arunachal Pradesh) for students up to 14 years old. There are 7 classes at the moment but we are going to upgrade to 8 classes next year. The main objective of the school is to provide modern education along with cultural and Buddhist studies to children coming from disadvantaged backgrounds. There are currently 6 employed teachers at the school teaching Maths, Hindi, Environmental Science, Tibetan, and English. There is no wifi in the village right now but maybe this will be possible in the future. But we can get some wifi connection a few miles away.

Morshing is a beautiful quiet remote village where you can slow down and enjoy nature and village life. The people in Morshing are most friendly and welcoming. The village retains its traditional color and it is delightful to explore. Volunteers will have the chance to be part of our community and enjoy their stay with us. From trying our local dishes and organic products to meeting people and learning about local folk stories and the Monpa lifestyle, to taking volunteers to places near and far Morshing during our days off, not one day will be the same for the volunteers. The children, on their part, would love to hear the stories volunteers would like to share from their countries or their travels. Also, their feedback about how to improve our school is most welcome. The hosts are happy to taste your cuisine so if you are any good at cooking, please feel free to share with us.
Since Arunanchal Pradesh requires a permit (PAP) to visit, we can arrange that for you. But you can always apply for a PAP yourself online, considering you plan well in advance and submit your application at least 2 months before you travel here. Please note there are erratic power and water cuts during the week but we have learned to cope, it is not up to us.Projects involving children

****TEACHING VOLUNTEERS****
We are looking for volunteers who would like to spend time with the students and practice English with them and have fun sharing their knowledge and skills and creativity and inspire the children. Music class also are very appreciate, however we don't have at the moment musical instruments with us right now. Children love playing new games that help them improve their English. Classes run from Monday to Friday (9.30am to 3.20pm) and also Saturday (9.30am to 1pm). The class period is 40 minutes with breaks in between so volunteers can spend time with students in class from 9.30am until lunch time (1pm). There is a longer tea break as well at 11am . After 3.20pm it is play time for kids until 5pm. Then from 6pm to 7pm students go back to class to do their homework.
Volunteers are welcome to help with English classes from 9.30am until lunchtime at 13.00pm, Monday to Friday.
****ECO-FRIENDLY ARCHITECTURE VOLUNTEERS****
We are looking also for volunteers who know about Eco-friendly architecture. At the moment we have two projects in progress. The first one consists of a Campsite next to a small river for the kid's Summer Adventure Camp. Bamboo and local woods are available. We are open to ideas from our volunteers about the Design.
Would be really inspiring for our children to learn from you about alternative and eco-friendly constructionsLanguages
