  Description

  We are an Argentine couple living on a farm in a mountainous area in Argentine Patagonia (Paraje Las Golondrinas, Lago Puelo, Chubut).
  
  We live in a mainly organic and sustainable way. We live in a modern mud house based on permaculture principles. We offer visitors a house built of classic wood construction but with all modern services. And we grow organic raspberries: all our inputs are certified organic.
  
  We manage our waste (reduce, recycle, reuse). We respect our natural environment.
  
  We offer the opportunity to collaborate with the maintenance tasks of a field, mainly dedicated to the cultivation of raspberries, in a wild environment in southern Argentina.

  Somos una pareja de argentinos que vive en una chacra en zona de montaña en la Patagonia Argentina (Paraje Las Golondrinas, Lago Puelo, Chubut).
  
  Desarrollamos nuestra vida en forma principalmente orgánica y sustentable. Vivimos en una casa de barro moderna basada en principios de permacultura. A los visitantes les ofrecemos una vivienda construída en madera de construcción clásica pero con todos los servicios modernos. Y cultivamos frambuesas orgánicas: todos nuestros insumos son certificados orgánicos.
  
  Gestionamos nuestra basura (reducir, reciclar, reutilizar). Respetamos nuestro entorno natural.
  
  Ofrecemos la oportunidad de colaborar con las tareas de mantenimiento de un campo, dedicado principalmente al cultivo de frambuesas, en un entorno agreste del sur argentino.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  The Workawayers will share in the fruits of a completely organic garden.
  
  They will learn some farm tasks in a dreamlike mountain setting.
  
  They will help weed and harvest raspberries in the summer... to carry out pruning and maintenance work in the winter... and they will be able to make friends with the shovel and the weed whacker :-))) .
  
  As the business grows commercially, we could assign a minimum remuneration. We will discuss this as the exchange progresses.
  
  They will learn about our customs... and we will learn about theirs.
  
  We are very good at our language :-)... and we can help in learning Argentine Spanish... and lunfardo too! :-)
  Our command of English resolves almost all basic communication situations. French and Italian are our closest pending subjects. :-)

  Los Workawayers van a participar de los frutos de una huerta totalmente orgánica.
  
  Aprenderán algunas tareas de campo en un entorno de montaña soñado.
  
  Ayudarán a desmalezar y cosechar frambuesas, en el verano... a desarrollar labores de poda y mantenimiento, en el invierno...y podrán hacerse amigos de la pala y la desmalezadora :-))) .
  
  En la medida que el emprendimiento crezca comercialmente, podríamos asignar una remuneración minima. Eso lo conversaremos en tanto progrese el intercambio.
  
  Aprenderán de nuestras costumbres...y nosotros de las de ellos.
  
  Manejamos muy bien nuestro idioma :-)...y podemos ayudar en el aprendizaje del español argentino...y lunfardo también ! :-)
  Nuestro manejo del idioma inglés resuelve casi todas las situaciones básicas de comunicación. Francés e italiano son nuestras asignaturas pendientes más próximas. :-)

  Doing farm chores (watering, mowing, sweeping, pruning, moving branches, transplanting, digging ditches, wells, etc.). Doing general maintenance and care (painting, carpentry, etc.). Developing some minor wood construction. Caring for animals (fish, dogs, cats). Cutting and stowing firewood for the winter. Watering, pruning, and harvesting raspberries. Occasional house cleaning. Occasional cooking. Being in charge of the place for specific periods of time...and always in connection with us.

  Hacer tareas de campo (riego, cortar pasto, barrer, podar, mover ramas, trasplantar, hacer zanjas, pozos...etc.).
  Dedicarse al mantenimiento y cuidado en general (pintura, carpintería en madera...etc.).
  Desarrollar alguna construcción menor en madera.
  Cuidar animales (peces, perros, gatos).
  Cortar y estibar leña para el invierno.
  Regar, podar y cosechar frambuesas.
  Limpieza de la casa eventual.
  Cocina eventual.
  Estar a cargo del lugar por períodos de tiempo determinados...y siempre en conexión con nosotros.

  ...nos encantaría desarrollar nuestro inglés, francés e italiano... perfectamente podríamos ofrecer nuestro conocimiento del castellano...y el "lunfardo" !!!

  Accommodation

  The Workawayers will be accommodated in a cabin, built of wood, in very good condition, surrounded by a wooden deck, very comfortable for sunbathing, reading, listening to music, and resting.
  
  We provide Workawayers with natural gas (kitchen and heating), stream water (it is advisable to filter it), electricity (220 VAC, 50 Hz), and broadband internet (up to 6 Mbps), at no additional cost.
  
  Because in summer the risk of fire is high, as a precaution we have eliminated the grill and stove.
  
  In the area there is a mobile phone network provided by Movistar.
  
  The panoramic views are beautiful.
  
  We have 2 large ponds...one is the water reservoir for the raspberries...and the other is the water mirror for the fish and aquatic plants.
  
  The entire property is located on the slope of Cerro Piltriquitrón, in Paraje Las Golondrinas (Lago Puelo, Chubut).
  
  We are located at an altitude of 600 meters above sea level, at a distance of 8 km from the nearest cities (Lago Puelo or Bolsón)...and 4 km from National Route 40 (RN40) that connects to these population centers.
  
  Regarding transportation: ...local buses circulate and have stops on RN40 to El Hoyo, Epuyen, Lago Puelo and El Bolsón. Taxis can also be requested from El Bolsón. Likewise, we usually transport Workawayers with us on our shopping trips to El Bolsón...which allows for a very simple weekly resupply.
  
  Access by car to our farm is via a combination of paved, dirt and gravel road.
  
  In winter it usually snows a little. Summers are hot.
  
  Given the complexity of the issue, we prefer that Workawayers themselves resolve their food requirements.

  El alojamiento de los Workawayers será en una cabaña, construida en madera, en muy buen estado, rodeada de un deck de madera, muy cómodo para tomar sol, leer, escuchar música, descansar.
  
  A los Workawayers les proveemos gas natural (cocina y calefacción), agua de arroyo (es conveniente filtrarla), electricidad (220 VCA, 50 Hz), internet de banda ancha (hasta 6 Mbps), sin costo adicional.
  
  Debido a que en verano el riesgo de incendio es elevado, como prevención hemos eliminado parrilla y fogón.
  
  En la zona hay red de telefonía móvil provista por Movistar.
  
  Las vistas panorámicas son hermosas.
  
  Tenemos 2 estanques grandes...uno es el reservorio de agua de las frambuesas...y el otro es el espejo de agua de los peces y las plantas acuaticas.
  
  Todo el predio se ubica en la ladera del Cerro Piltriquitrón, en el Paraje Las Golondrinas (Lago Puelo, Chubut).
  
  Estamos ubicados a una altura de 600 msnm, a una distancia de 8 km de las ciudades más cercanas (Lago Puelo o Bolsón)...y a 4 km de la Ruta Nacional 40 (RN40) que conecta hacia esos centros poblados.
  
  En cuanto al transporte: ...por la RN40 circulan y tienen paradas los omnibuses locales con destino hacia El Hoyo, Epuyen, Lago Puelo y El Bolsón. También pueden pedirse remises desde El Bolsón. Asimismo, solemos transportar a los Workawayers con nosotros en nuestras visitas de compras a El Bolsón...lo que permite un reaprovisionamiento semanal muy simple.
  
  El acceso en automóvil a nuestra granja es por un camino combinado de pavimentado, tierra y ripio.
  
  En invierno suele nevar un poco. Los veranos son calurosos.
  
  Dada la complejidad del tema preferimos que los propios Workawayers resuelvan su requerimiento de comida.

  We respect Nature...and therefore try to reduce, recycle and reuse our trash.
  
  Just as we offer respect to our fellow humans...we also like to receive it.
  
  We are pretty quiet...the area is pretty quiet...no noise, no shouting, no loud music.
  
  We are vegetarians.
  
  We are non-smokers. The cabin assigned to Workawayers is non-smoking.
  
  We like the outdoors, good music, natural sounds, good conversation...and we also appreciate silence.
  
  We are "cool" people and we expect "cool" people.
  
  Due to the living conditions in the area, WE PREFER TO RECEIVE A COUPLE.
  
  For organizational reasons we prefer to receive visitors for a MINIMUM STAY OF 2 WEEKS.
  In our experience, the IDEAL STAY is usually around ONE MONTH.
  And the MAXIMUM STAY is subject to availability...and harmony. :-)
  But we are flexible and usually accept proposals of different lengths.
  In all cases we appreciate being FORMAL and respecting the conditions set at the time of booking a stay. We do not believe that the fact that the WorkAway scheme tolerates informality (cancellations without sufficient advance notice, or valid reason, or compensation of any kind) enables the abuse of this practice.
  
  In the area there are A LOT of options to visit...one nicer than the other.

  There are no means of transport that pass very close. We are 4 km from National Route 40, which does have public transport (buses).
  
  Musicians? Flutists? ...wonderful!
  Sailing sailors? ...well!
  Radio amateurs? ...welcome!
  Astronomers? ...of course!
  Drawing artists! ...yes! :-)
  
  Good people...and, yes!

  Respetamos a la Naturaleza...y, por lo tanto, tratamos de reducir, reciclar y reutilizar (3R) nuestra basura.
  
  Así como ofrecemos respeto a nuestros pares humanos...también nos gusta recibirlo.
  
  Somos bastante tranquilos....la zona es bastante tranquila...ni ruidos, ni gritos, ni música fuerte.
  
  Somos vegetarianos.
  
  Somos no fumadores. La cabaña asignada para los Workawayers es no fumadora.
  
  Nos gusta la vida al aire libre, la buena música, los sonidos naturales, la buena charla...y, además, apreciamos el silencio.
  
  Somos gente "buena onda" y esperamos gente "buena onda".
  
  Debido a las condiciones de vida en la zona, PREFERIMOS RECIBIR A UNA PAREJA.
  
  Por motivos de organización preferimos recibir visitantes en una ESTADÍA MINIMA DE 2 SEMANAS.
  En nuestra experiencia, la ESTADÍA IDEAL suele ser de alrededor de UN MES.
  Y la ESTADÍA MÁXIMA está sujeta a disponibilidad...y armonía. :-)
  Pero somos flexibles y solemos aceptar propuestas de diversa duración.
  
  En todos los casos agradecemos ser FORMALES y respetar las condiciones fijadas al momento de reservar una estadía. Que el esquema de WorkAway tolere la informalidad (cancelaciones sin anticipación suficiente, ni motivo válido, ni compensaciones de ningun tipo) no creemos que habilite el abuso de esa práctica.
  
  En la zona hay UN MONTÓN de opciones para visitar...una más linda que la otra.
  
  No hay medios de transporte que pasen muy cerca. Estamos a 4 km. de la Ruta Nacional 40, por la que sí pasan medios de transporte publico (omnibus).

  Navegantes a vela ? ...biennn !
  Radioaficionados/as ? ...bienvenidos !
  Astrónomos/as ? ...claro que sí !

  Sí, posiblemente. Las condiciones del servicio actual son: ...conexión por radioenlace...razonables 6 Mbps de ancho de banda, la mayor parte de tiempo, bastante estables. ...sí, hay WIFI. ...tenemos grupo electrogeno de backup. ...no hay impresora laser.

  Space for parking camper vans

  Sí...es posible venir con casa rodante...el vehículo necesita ser capaz de trepar caminos medianamente complicados...de otra manera la pendiente y los pozos se encargarán de hacerles pasar un momento incómodo.

  Sí...eso requiere BUENAS MASCOTAS ...y BUENOS HUMANOS que las conduzcan...podemos charlar más acerca de esto.
