    Description

    Small cattle ranch 640 acres owned and 3700 acres crown grazing lease. Primarily a cow-calf operation. Also a large non commercial garden and experimental northern orchard with black currant bushes. Some horses, drafts and quarter horses; poultry, dogs and a cat. As you can imagine, a lot of work all year around! So support is always welcomed!

    South Peace River area of northeastern BC, foothills of the northern Rockies. Closest town Dawson Creek 26 miles. We would welcome you for several weeks to make the trip north worth while. We are actively looking for a person or persons for the upcoming year.

    We are no longer certified organic, but are registered under BC Environmental Farm Plan.

    No smoking or drugs on the property!!!!

    If you are interested in learning about permaculture principles, experience remote farm life (with all the up and down's) and want to be part of our regenerative farm operation, we are more than happy to host you.

    PLEASE NOTE: We are not a dude ranch! Main activities are small jobs around the farm, garden, orchard. Horse activities only recreational when natural horsemanship skills available.

    Help

    Gardening May 1 to Sept 30; calving season mid March to May 1; haying operations July and August; general maintenance, fence building and maintenance, and building projects all year round. Help with draft horses year round. Experience using hand and power tools and chainsaw, brush saw etc preferred. Equipment operation will be part of the help required - tractors and the things they pull!
