It is an awesome area to explore with lots of activities both free and paid to take part in. Imagine swimming in tropical river holes, walking pristine beaches, hanging in the rainforest listening to the jungle vibes. Your language and social skills will also get a work out here chatting and engaging with all our lovely visitors who come from all over the world. Help
We need people to help with basic housekeeping, dishwashing and a little bit of rainforest trimming here and there. No experience is necessary just a 'can do' attitude and a bright and cheery disposition.
During our low season we usually have a minimum 15hrs a week available and during the high season we have up to 20hrs a week available if you are willing. Hours of work are generally morning 9.30-12.30ish and evening 6-8ish. During low season we don't have paid employment available, we supply you with accommodation and food.
There is lots to do up here - paid activities like the Discovery Centre, icecream factories, are within walking distance. Other activities like crocodile cruises, reef trips, horseriding are too far away for walking so you would have to organise a lift with guests or arrange some other way to get there.Languages

Your accommodation is single, four bed dorm style (couples can be accommodated in double beds during our low season (Oct-May) only. Food is provided from our cafe and we happily cater for all dietary requirements - vegan, vegetarian, gluten free or carnivore. Internet is wifi. We are also a digital detox opportunity as no TV or mobile access (other than Optus) available just chatting to fellow travellers, reading books, playing pool, board games, and general old school stuff like that.
What else ...
To get to us you will need to catch a bus from Cairns (approx $50 each way) or bring your own car, we are 2.5hrs drive north of Cairns, 1hr north of Port Douglas. There are no shops up here, just lots of rainforest, beaches and friendly locals. Prefer people to stay at least two weeks
