I'm Robert, I have a background in engineering and love travelling, languages & natural living.
I'm leading a team building an Eco-village in the beautiful Lebanon mountains to allow visitors to live, learn, grow and build in a more sustainable way. From June 2021 we plan to construct 10 buildings using local, natural or recycled materials (mainly Straw Bale and Wattle & Daub).
Come join us to learn and build together!

This host offers a language exchange
I speak English, French, Spanish (rusty) and conversational Arabic. I'd love to help anyone interested in learning levantine Arabic
You'll stay in one of the comfy wooden 'Wild West' style wagons on the site (aka Glamping). Cooking and bathroom facilities are provided along with vegan food. Other food or alcohol needs to be bought by volunteers. There's WiFi.
The site is on the side of a mountain in a beautiful part of Lebanon. The town of Zahle, with restaurants, shops and bars on one side, open nature and mountains to the other side.
Many opportunities to explore the country and culture. There are many ancient ruins within a 30 min drive (Baalbek, Niha, Anjar).
A volunteer just arrived from the UK (13 February) and it was all very easy and quick (regarding Covid procedures).
