Description

Happiness for me is simple: a forest trail, cold lake water, and a camera in hand. I grew up spending most of my free time outdoors, and that hasn't changed. Long walks, swimming in lakes even when the water's too cold for most people, and hours spent trying to catch a good shot of wildlife, that's where I feel most like myself.

I'm the daughter of a carpenter, so I learned early how things work, not just how to admire them. I can tile a roof, change a tire, do an oil change, and handle most woodworking machinery. I also know my way around a forklift. Being handy isn't a hobby for me, it's just how I was raised.

I love anything creative. I have a Master's in Strategic Communication and years of experience in marketing: social media, content creation, photography, video, graphic design. At home I knit and paint. I like combining that creative side with physical work. A day spent gardening or building something is just as satisfying to me as a day at a screen, maybe more.

I spent ten years doing vaulting, so horses feel familiar rather than intimidating. I've WWOOFed in Australia and New Zealand, weeding and mowing gardens, and worked in housekeeping, cleaning hotel rooms.

This time it's Australia. I want to see how people actually live and work here, not just what you catch on a short holiday. Meeting people, picking up skills I don't have yet, and seeing how someone else's daily life and work look compared to mine, that's what I'm after more than any checklist of sights.

I get along with most people and adapt easily to new places and routines. I'm physically fit, learn fast, and hold a driver's license including trailers.

More details about my language interests
I love learning new languages whenever I meet people from different countries or are in a new country, for example when I was living in Sweden and started to learn Swedish. I am also happy to teach some German as I am a native speaker.

Physical & practical
Growing up with a carpenter for a father, I picked up a lot early: tiling a roof, changing a tire, doing an oil change, using most woodworking machinery. I also know how to operate a forklift. I am a certified graphic designer and work regularly with Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva. I take photos, including drone and wildlife photography, and produce and edit video. At home I knit and paint.

Professional
I have a Master's degree in Strategic Communication at Lund University. I've worked as a Marketing Manager, handling campaign planning, social media, content creation, and website management, and interned in corporate communications at an international company. I also hold an instructor qualification, so I'm used to explaining and teaching things, not just doing them myself.
