    Description

I’ve travelled lots and am happy to return the many welcomes I got myself, back in the couchsurfing days, to you. Wexford is a beautiful part of Ireland, I’m rural but close to transport and some great scenic areas and tourist attractions.

I'm at the early stages of my film making career having evolved from an interior designer with an award winning music video and a short film comedy that's been quite popular at the film festivals this year. I like to write too and my next short film is nearly ready for production.

I love d.i.y., gardening and growing my own food, having had such a busy year all this is a tad unruly now and where I need help.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

I'm happy to have couples or solos and we can work out your downtime whether you would like to go explore yourself or join myself and the mutts. I can drop you to the bus close by or to the local award winning Irish pub, plus I’m also within walking distance of a popular forest walk or we could head into town to a trad night. Without a doubt you’ll leave here with a great sense of our culture.

    Help

I’m particularly keen to hear from people who have previous experience restoring a campervan or caravan as that’s my priority, I've a couple of vintage caravans that need lots of TLC. I can offer a longer term stay if these are something you can help me with.

I also need help all around the house, garden and poly tunnel. For example weeding, lawn edging, general cleaning, organisation, sewing, upholstering, window cleaning, painting, sanding, varnishing, some carpentry if you’ve the skills I’ve got the tools. In some cases we'll be working together, in some I might just leave you to it.

I’ve two very lovely little dogs who I may need you to look after if you’re here at a time that I’m away for a day or two working. Please let me know what work experience you have I’m sure I’ll have a job for you.

This host offers a language exchange
I lived in France for a short time, when I left I was fluent although that was some time ago. I’m a little rusty now hopefully with a little conversation my fluency will return, hopefully! Also I've been relearning Irish for the past year, my understanding is very good however some chat would go along way.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

    Couples & Campervans/Caravans welcome.

You will have your own room with a full size airbed (at the moment until I get help assembling beds!), wardrobe, vanity sink and lots of blankets. The bathroom is separate and shared with me plus you’ll have access to kitchen, dining, living room and laundry. Breakfast is either toast, cereal or boiled eggs, soup & brown bread or sandwich for lunch and mainly traditional Irish meals for dinner, I’m a pretty good cook, (I hope you’ll agree) but I wouldn’t be able to cater for specific diets. I make my own soup and brown bread and will gladly show you how to.

My internet is good but not 100% reliable, it can be hit or miss so as much as you would be welcome I couldn't guarantee success if you had files to upload unfortunately.

    Space for parking camper vans

There's plenty of space for a full size camper/caravan, you could even put up an awning, solar panels and have a table out front. I can provide water, I don't have 3phase power, this is something I'm learning about myself so would be keen to chat about this.

My dogs are very friendly with other small dogs, cats are a no no unfortunately.
