    Description

Help needed renovating and decorating my house for the winter months.

My name is Chris I'm twenty-three years old. I am part of a family of seven, with my brothers and sisters aged between twenty-three and twenty-nine. We all work on either of our two farms during the summer. Our main farm in East Clare has a big polytunnel for growing vegetables, chickens/geese, and sheep. The other farm is located in the beautiful landscape of The Burren, where we have herds of goats/cattle, fruit trees, and a garden.

The helpers are required to help out about 5 hours per day, with two days off each week to chill or explore. The lake Lough Derg is nearby, and is a great place to go swimming/fishing. The food provided is mainly home-grown, and there is a shop five minutes from us. The town of Scarriff is a ten-minute walk away.

The tasks can be manual such as building walls and paths, fixing gates, and painting, and also helping in the polytunnel with planting/sowing, weeding, harvesting crops, and helping with bees as we have 19hives on the farm which require constant management
All helpers must be able to speak some English, German or Dutch.

I've been a volunteer myself and loved it, and look forward to providing a similarly engaging experience for the volunteers on our farms.

If you are an energetic outgoing person who is up for anything then this place is perfect for you.

We are an open family who have been hosting volunteers for the last 4 years and have created great friendship through this proscess.
It's a young family which means their is always something fun to do like play soccer or drink a few beers around the bum-fire
