    Description

Hi, thank you for visiting our page.

We really appreciate you stopping by our page. We’re a small non-profit organization from the Netherlands, nestled in the stunning mountains of Gran Canaria.

We live and work in the mountains of Gran Canaria, in the UNESCO-protected Valley of a Thousand Palms. Beautiful surroundings, accessible by bus. It's a remote environment, and you must be able to be independent. We offer one vegetarian/vegan meal per day (or a fee to prepare your own meal) and have a pantry with plant-based breakfast and snack options. We eat entirely vegetarian and don't cook or buy meat, poultry, or fish.

Our mission is to support European young adults by offering more resilience and regenerative opportunities in a nature-rich and development-oriented environment. Starting mid 2026, we will host groups of eight participants at a time, but for now, we are focusing on preparing our upcoming eco-projects.

We are looking for independent, creative volunteers with a passion for sustainability, social media, and the desire to join us in making the world a cleaner and more caring place. We also want to improve our Spanish, so we strongly prefer workawayers who speak Spanish or want to practice. We lookout for creative and independent volunteers who are eager to lend a hand with:
    - Creating social media content (photography, filming, editing, short videos, and creative ideas)
    - Participating in weekly clean-up efforts in the mountains and along the riverbeds
    - Leading upcycling workshops and Art projects, including our Waste to Wisdom Art project from over 40,000 cigarette butts
    - Gardening, small tasks, and maintenance work
    - Cooking vegetarian or vegan meals in a healthy, plant-based environment

This is an ideal spot for individuals who like to take initiative, have a passion for nature, and enjoy hands-on work that makes a difference. We live a vegetarian lifestyle and provide plant-based meal options, so we value volunteers who share this interest in cooking.

As for accommodation, it’s quite comfortable. We have a private house complete with a bathroom, bath, washing machine, cozy beds, a workspace, WiFi, and plenty of privacy for 6 persons. And a little house for 4 people. If you prefer, there’s also the option to stay in our charming wooden garden house or even try a simple camping experience.

If you feel inspired by themes of sustainability, creativity, and regeneration, and you want to be part of weekly eco-actions while helping to create something beautiful here in the valley, we would be happy to welcome you!

For nature lovers who appreciate silence and creativity.

Building towards a transformative shift and an innovative methodology for European young adults for mental recovery and increased resilience. Educational Work Experience at the foundation

We aim to make an impact not only on the young adults we guide but also on the participants who invest their time and energy in our organization. Here's how participants can learn, grow, and enrich their lives by engaging in our mission:

Participants have the opportunity to delve deep into circularity and natural awareness practices. Whether it's organizing environmentally conscious events like the Rise Like A Phoenix campaign, participating in ecological projects, or promoting sustainable living, you are contributing to an environment that fosters environmental consciousness and mental well-being.

By being involved in administrative tasks and organizational processes, participants gain valuable practical experience in the daily operations of a non-profit organization. They learn more about self-awareness, sustainable planning, coordination, and international communication in a responsible and professional manner.

Our project connects participants with new age developments and with diverse communities and cultures, providing a unique opportunity to develop intercultural communication skills, increase understanding, and cultivate empathy.

Participants are encouraged to explore their creative self-expression, whether in art, music, theater, or other forms of creativity. This contributes to personal growth and talent development.

Participants are encouraged to get to know themselves better through self-reflection. This process of awareness contributes to personal development, growth in self-awareness and self-confidence, and taking responsibility for their own growth.

From organizational to sustainability skills, participants acquire new skills that will serve them throughout their lives. Interaction with diverse communities not only increases cultural understanding but also appreciation for diversity.

Contributing to a new era, positive transformation, and promoting sustainability brings a deep sense of satisfaction and meaningful work.

  • Help

    Help

We welcome passionate volunteers to join us in making the world a better and healthier place. Whether you're a social media expert, a handy worker assisting with construction using found materials, a sustainability researcher, or someone who enjoys working in nature and gardens, everyone committed to transformative and positive change is invited to contribute. We aim to raise awareness and offer educational programs to inspire personal growth and consciousness.

While our foundation is continuously evolving, our organization is determined, innovative, and promising. As pioneers forging a new path, we are constantly evolving and growing. This phase presents opportunities for growth on social media and websites, with a need for fundraisers and connectors among other sustainable organizations in the Netherlands, youth welfare, and other pioneers. Fluency in Spanish is required for communication on the island. There are also opportunities for construction and working with natural and waste materials to prepare for the Rise like a Phoenix project, contributing to a cleaner world, promoting biodiversity, and keeping land and sea plastic-free. If you're a social media expert, website builder, Spanish-Dutch bilingual communicator, nature enthusiast, or a transformer of this new era, consider joining us temporarily as we shape a healthy and hopeful future for young people.

Shared Living House for 4. For those who appreciate a communal living experience, the shared house for four people offers a dynamic and social environment. Participants in this accommodation share common spaces, fostering a sense of community and interaction. The shared living house is well-equipped to accommodate the needs of multiple residents, promoting a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.
