  Hi! I’m Dominique, and I share this peaceful countryside home just outside Barcelona with my cat, Lily. The house is spacious, full of light, and surrounded by nature — with a large garden and a refreshing pool I dive into after every work meeting. It’s a true oasis, perfect for anyone looking to recharge, connect, or simply disconnect for a while.
  
  From the moment I saw it, I knew this was my dream home, and I’ve shaped my life around it ever since. While we’re just a short train ride from the buzz of Barcelona, many find they don’t want to leave once they’ve arrived — it’s that kind of place.
  
  Lily, the real queen of the house, spent three years in a shelter and then two in a small Barcelona apartment. Now, she’s living her best life — exploring the garden (and occasionally the neighbors') with curiosity and confidence.
  
  If you're looking for calm, nature, and a bit of cat company, you’ll feel right at home here.
  
  I work remotely in the field of Diversity, Equity and Inclusive leadership and organizational culture, so I deeply value presence, good conversation, and respectful coexistence. I love sharing this home with people who are open-minded, self-aware, and enjoy a balance of togetherness and personal space.

  As a Dutchie living in a rural Catalan village, I love the mix of quiet nature, strong local culture, and a surprisingly international spirit — and I’m excited to share that experience with you.
  
  I work in the field of inclusion and culture, and I’m endlessly curious about people’s stories and perspectives. I’m the founder a global community of over 100 people who know what it’s like to be overlooked, excluded, or misunderstood based on parts of their identity — whether visible or invisible. We run events and programs that bring these stories to light and create space for deeper connection and learning. So yes — cultural exchange is kind of my thing, professionally and personally.

  Help

  We just moved into this beautiful place and are in the process of bringing it back to life — one corner, one project at a time! The energy is fresh, full of potential, and we’re slowly shaping it into something special.
  
  I work from home and combine my day job with house projects, so I’m usually around and happy to lend a hand (where my skills allow!). I’d love your help with some light but creative outdoor work, such as:
  
  Gardening – Not the heavy-lifting kind! Think: refreshing outdoor spaces, painting low garden walls and tiles, or sprucing things up with a creative touch.
  
  Home Projects – We want to make over some spaces with a new layer of paint and murals, so if you’re handy or like problem-solving, that’s a fun one.
  
  Outdoor Gym Makeover – The structure is there, but it needs a little vision and love to become a functional and inviting space again.
  
  Garage Makeover - Now it looks like a garage (which it is), BUT it WILL be a space where we can celebrate diversity and build a beautiful community around!
  
  If you’re someone who enjoys adding beauty, structure, or creativity to a space — and you love seeing a place evolve — this could be a really fun fit.

  The house is rustic and big and has a very big terrace, garden with a big pool. Everything is wheelchair accessible. You have your own bathroom and bedroom (which you might occasionally share with Lilster).
  
  Foodwise: Sometimes I cook, sometimes you cook, but there will always be something in the fridge ;)
