Description
If you love nature, the sea, gardening and authentic local life, and you're looking to spend a few weeks in South-Eastern Sicily, this might be the perfect place for you.
I live in Sampieri, a small seaside village near Scicli (UNESCO World Heritage Site). My house is surrounded by a large garden and countryside that always need a little love and care.
I'm looking for a friendly, curious and practical volunteer (or a couple/friends) who would enjoy helping me with everyday tasks while experiencing real Sicilian life.
I'm currently trying to improve my French, so French speakers would be wonderful, but everyone is welcome!
During your stay you may help with:
House cleaning and organizing
Gardening and outdoor maintenance
Almond and olive harvesting (depending on the season)
Looking after my cats
Small DIY projects around the house
Helping me while I'm renovating a small apartment next door
I'm also looking forward to learning practical skills from my guests—things like gardening, irrigation systems or general home maintenance—so if you enjoy sharing what you know, that's a big plus!
Sometimes I may be away for work, as I work as a licensed tour guide and manage a few holiday apartments, so you may occasionally be asked to keep an eye on the house and my cats.
Your accommodation
Private bedroom
Private bathroom
Breakfast and dinner included
Weekends are usually free. If I'm available, I'd be happy to show you around some of my favourite places in Sicily.
Please note:
The house is located about 1 km from the beach, around 15 minutes by car from Scicli and 30 minutes from Ragusa. I'll do my best to provide you with a bicycle so you can explore the area independently.
This is a peaceful rural area rather than a big city, so please keep that in mind before applying.
I'm going through a new chapter in my life and I'd love to bring new energy into my home by sharing it with kind, open-minded people from around the world.
I look forward to meeting you!

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Fostering the energy of this house: the place is absolutely amazing, and is surrounded by beautiful nature. If you love trails there is a provincial park along the coast nearby. Except work, we can do some Sicilian cooking and learn some Italian.
I will be happy to take you away for the weekend and show you around (I am a licensed tour guide). -
Help
The tasks will vary depending on the season and the priorities around the house. I will explain what needs to be done, but I'm looking for someone who is independent, proactive and happy to work on their own. Typical tasks may include repairing the fence, tidying the land, gathering wood, cleaning the garage, gardening, assembling furniture, keeping the house clean and helping with small maintenance projects.
The help required is around 4–5 hours a day, Monday to Friday. The rest of the time is yours to relax, explore the area or enjoy the beach. -

What else ...
During your free time, you can go for walks/bike ride to the nearby village address of Sampieri/Donnalucata.
There is a beach 1 km away from here.
Or I can give you a ride to Scicli, Ragusa or Monica, the larger nearby town.
I have a ping-pong table at the house. -
