  We are a rural agroecology and permaculture school and community center. We are located in the indigenous community of Santa Maria Tonantzintla, in the municipality of San Andrés Cholula, Puebla, approximately 2 and a half hours away from Mexico City and 25 mins away from the city of Puebla.
  We are still building our community, one step at a time. The field is a little more than 1 hectare, divided into spaces for people, productive and natural systems.
  
  We produce part of the food we consume in our vegetable garden, food forest and milpa. We also make soap and other personal care natural products.
  We teach natural construction courses and all our structures serve as examples of projects built with local and sustainable materials and a low ecological footprint.
  We wish to provide people with the necessary resources and skills that allow them to be more autonomous and resilient, but also happier.

  Es nace como una alternativa que busca cuidar la vida en el pedacito de tierra donde nos encontramos. Nos encontramos a 25 mins de la ciudad de Puebla y a 2 horas 20 de la CDMX
  Producimos parte del alimento que consumimos a través de nuestro huerto, gallinero, bosque comestible y milpa. Trabajamos temas de bioconstrucción, ecotecnias, salud y bienestar integral, economía y muchos otros.
  
  Así, a través de la comunidad que aún seguimos construyendo, buscamos no sólo compartir conocimiento creando espacios que nos permitan dialogar, cuestionar, debatir y aprender o reaprender temas de nuestro interés, sino también brindarle a las personas competencias necesarias que les permitan ser más autónomas, resilientes, pero también más felices y satisfechos.

  Workawayers will be able to experience life in a permaculture project. They will learn thanks to the support of the team, some manuals but especially by working directly with the land or in various activities related to permaculture and agroecology.

  The workawayer will support the team in various activities, which are divided according to the permaculture petals:
  - Sustainable construction, construction of various structures using natural materials and various techniques such as cob, pajareque, bamboo, compacted earth, straw bales, carpentry, maintenance of spaces and others.
  - Management of the land and nature, work in the garden, greenhouse, chicken coop, milpa, medicinal garden, bees, compost, edible forest and others.
  - Health and well-being, support with the production of products, conscious eating and healthy cooking, etc.
  If you have knowledge of other petals of permaculture, they will also be very welcomed.
  
  
  Requirements
  Work in various activities 20 hours a week. Activities may include physical and field work.
  Stay a minimum of 15 days and a maximum of 3 months, counting a first week of testing and adaptation.
  Sign a letter of responsibility and, as the case may be, we recommend hiring travel or medical insurance.
  Read and follow the internal rules.
  Know and participate in the activities of food preparation, waste management, order, and cleaning of the space.
  Experience in permaculture, agroecology, natural construction, sustainable development, environmental education, holistic well-being and the like is highly desirable.

  El o la "workawayer" apoyará al equipo en diversas actividades de nuestro centro, las cuales se dividen según los pétalos de la permacultura:
  -Bioconstrucción, construcción de diversas estructuras utilizando materiales naturales y diversas técnicas tales como cob, pajareque, bambú, tierra compactada, paja, carpintería, mantenimiento de espacios y otros.
  -Manejo de la tierra y la naturaleza, trabajo en el huerto, invernadero, gallinero, milpa, jardín medicinal, abejas, composta y bosque comestible y otros.
  -Salud y bienestar integral, apoyo con la elaboración de productos, alimentación consciente y cocina saludable, etc
  Si tienes conocimiento en otros pétalos de la permacultura también serán bienvenidos.
  
  
  Requisitos
  Trabajar en diversas actividades 20 horas a la semana. Las actividades pueden incluir trabajo físico y en el campo.
  Quedarse mínimo 15 dias y máximo 3 meses, contando una primera semana de prueba y adaptación.
  Firmar carta responsiva y, según sea el caso, recomendamos la contratación de un seguro de gastos médicos o de viajero.
  Leer y seguir el reglamento interno.
  Conocer y participar en las actividades de la preparación de alimentos, gestión de residuos, orden, y limpieza del espacio.
  Experiencia en temas de permacultura, agroecología, bioconstrucción, desarrollo sostenible, educación ambiental, bienestar integral y afines es muy deseable.

  Rules of coexistence
  -We share breakfast and lunch from Monday to Friday, each of us pays 100 pesos a day to cover the expenses of the food we can’t produce ourselves (rice, flour etc). It also covers the cost of toilet paper, gas, spices, oil etc that we all use. Dinners during the week and meals during the weekend you prepare by yourself
  -We ask you to schedule your arrival between Monday to Friday from 9am to 9pm and Saturday we can receive you only until 2pm.
  -Please, bring cosmetic products that are friendly to the environment. If you don’t have biodegradable toothpaste or other products, here we produce them and have them for sale.
  -Respect the diversity of thought, seek to integrate, cooperate and take some responsibilities so that the work is distributed as equitably as possible.
  -Cooperate in food preparation (including shopping and cleaning).
  -Cooperate in waste management.
  -Visitors and guests are not allowed without prior notice and authorization.
  -No pets allowed.

  -There are 4 dogs, 2 cats and 2 bee hives on the field.
  -We live with other members of the team and we organize ourselves to get what we need (food and others).
  -The weather is cold in late fall and during winter. Winter temperatures may go below 0 (°C) in the early morning.

  Reglas de convivencia
  -Compartimos desayunos y almuerzos desde lunes a viernes, todos cooperamos 100 pesos diarios por la comida que no podemos producir nosotros (arroz, harina etc). También incluye los gastos de papel higiénico, cafe, gas, gas, aceite, especies etc que se usan comúnmente. Las cenas entre la semana y las comidas durante los fines de semana, cada uno prepara por su cuenta.
  -Te pedimos que planeas tu llegada desde lunes a viernes entre 9am a 9pm, los sabados te podemos recibir solo hasta las 2pm.
  -Te pedimos que traigas los productos cosméticos que son amigables con el medio ambiente. Si te falta una pasta de dientes biodegradable u otros productos, aquí los producimos y los tenemos en venta.
  -Respetar la diversidad de pensamiento, buscar integrarse, cooperar y tomar algunas responsabilidades para que el trabajo se distribuya de la manera más equitativa que se pueda.
  -Cooperar en la preparación de alimentos (incluídas las compras y la limpieza).

  -No se permiten visitantes ni invitados sin aviso y autorización previos.
  -No se permiten mascotas.
  
  A tomar en cuenta
  -Se tienen 4 perros, 2 gatos y 2 colmenas de abejas en el terreno.
  -Se convive con otros miembros del equipo y nos organizamos para conseguir lo necesario para vivir (alimento y otros).
  -El clima es frío a finales de otoño y durante el invierno. Las temperaturas en invierno llegan a ser negativas en la madrugada.
