Many wonders abound nearby to explore including Volcanoes National Park (a must, only 40 minutes away), Kalapana and Kaimu black sand beaches and active lava flows! The Makuu Farmers Market is held on Sundays at the south end of Hawaiian Paradise Park, next to the highway and is filled with vendors offering many unique items in addition to local fruits and vegetables. You'll also want to plan a day trip up the beautiful north coast to the view the incredible Waipio Valley, which is sacred ground to us native Hawaiians. Access beyond the view point is limited to 4 wheel drive. or you can pay for a guided tour into the valley.
I have a simple, drama free, private, lifestyle and prefer to keep it that way. I am looking for open minded, respectful volunteers who want to experience a Laidback Hawaiian Lifestyle. Hawaiʻi is truly paradise.
