I am a native Hawaiian, I speak Hawaiian (begginner) and have a great understanding of Hawaiian culture and customs here. There is alot to learn about the colinization and illegal overthrown of our Kingdom. Iʻm an activist, vegetarian, and very much into sustainable living and reducing my carbon foot print.

Many wonders abound nearby to explore including Volcanoes National Park (a must, only 40 minutes away), Kalapana and Kaimu black sand beaches and active lava flows! The Makuu Farmers Market is held on Sundays at the south end of Hawaiian Paradise Park, next to the highway and is filled with vendors offering many unique items in addition to local fruits and vegetables. You'll also want to plan a day trip up the beautiful north coast to the view the incredible Waipio Valley, which is sacred ground to us native Hawaiians. Access beyond the view point is limited to 4 wheel drive (which you can rent from me or in Hilo) or you can pay for a guided tour into the valley.

I have a simple, drama free, private, lifestyle and prefer to keep it that way. I am looking for open minded, respectful volunteers who want to experience a Laidback Hawaiian Lifestyle. Hawaiʻi is truly paradise.
