Description
I live in a small house with a garden, very close to the sea. The garden is always in need of some TLC. The village is at the Oosterschelde on one of the former islands in the SW of the Netherlands. I live with one mid size dog (Mouse).
As an experienced host, I love the interaction with volunteers from different countries and backgrounds - as long as we share a respect for the environment, animals and our fellow humans. The spare bedroom I have, has one double bed, so suitable for single volunteers or a couple. During the day, I work at home (as a translator).
I am a vegetarian (occasionally eating fish) and a non-smoker. Vegans welcome!
I do like a glass of wine or beer over dinner, but I am not in for heavy drinkers.
Smoking only outside the house.
I have a little cabaña in Northern Spain and a house the Netherlands.
There is also lots of opportunities for long walks or cycle rides along the coast. We have endless fields and wide views of the sea.
Help with the garden and my house is very welcome, sometimes I am asking for house sitters when I am traveling.

We have a small grocery store next door, but shopping malls are approx. 15 km away, so for city life this is not the right place.
Public transport: by bus to get to a city at 14 km with a railway station (Goes). Good connections anywhere from Goes.

Carolina made sure that my senior dog Jazz (16!) had a great time while I was away for a month. When I came home, I found a very relaxed and happy dog thanks to Carolina. During the heavy rains, the house suffered flooding and Carolina kept her cool and rescued the flooring. A big thank you!

the main reason for staying at Anjo´s house in Colijnsplaat was to "home-sit" her house and look 24/7 after her darling dog Jazz, a 16 year old female dog, as Anjo went sailing for over 4 weeks in July.
