He was very hardworking, skilled and extremely polite. He truly appreciated the Canadian wilderness and wildlife.
Frederick did an incredible amount of work here , mainly splitting and stacking firewood, moreover he helped with many other regular chores around the house and property.

My stay was just perfect during these two weeks at John's. His chalets and the land where he lives are just incredible, really soothing and peaceful. I really enjoyed the time shared and also learned by working alongside John. Thank you again for everything and thank you for the kindness.

Notre séjour au cottage de Jon fut bien au-delà de nos espérances. Nous sommes tombés dans un petit paradis, où nous serions encore restés volontiers une semaine de plus! Le cadre est magnifique : Jon habite une ancienne "boathouse" pleine de charme, et la cabine dans laquelle nous dormions est tout aussi agréable, avec vue sur le lac. Nous étions
… read more plongés en pleine nature et avons adoré cela. Concernant le travail, nous nous sommes occupés de couper et ranger du bois pour l'hiver et nous avons nettoyé les vitres. A côté de cela, nous avons pu profiter de super activités comme le canoé, la pêche, baignade, tour en bateau, sauna. Nous avons passé de très bons moments en compagnie de Jon et de ses amis. Jon et Christine sont deux très belles personnes extrêmement généreuses, ouvertes et intéressantes. Ils nous ont très bien accueillis et occupés de nous au cours du séjour, nous n'avons manqué de rien. Concernant l'endroit, c'est un très beau chalet sur une île. … read more présent pour nous aider et nous guider. La cabane et le lit où nous dormions étaient très confortables, la nourriture de Jon délicieuse... C'était nettement au delà de nos espérances: plongés en pleine nature, pêche, baignades, sauna et canot l'après-midi. Pas d'eau courante ni d'électricité, idéal pour les amateurs de nature. C'était vraiment une très belle expérience, on aimerait beaucoup y revenir!

Jon and Christine a de really nice and generous. They always took care of us. The food and the cabin were perfect and the work pas pleasant. Jon was always there to help and explain. It's a beautiful cottage in an island,the place is amazing. We hadn't expected something as good as that! We learned a lot about Canada. It's a perfect place for nature lovers: fishing, swimming in the lake and canooing in the afternoon.

My Workaway for Jon at the cottage was an incredible experience.
Jon was a fantastic host who gave me enjoyable tasks , great food and shared many knowledgeable facts of the surrounding area.
The accommodation is incredible, i will miss dearly the peace and serenity of the cabin/lake and it's surrounding wildlife.
Learning to canoe (just
