  Description

  The collective is made up of friends, artists, farmers and artisans who live on the land of an ancient mill in Saint-Clément. We were drawn to this place by the lush and abundant wildlife and by the river, fields, forest and buildings that give us the opportunity to accomplish all kinds of dreamt projects. The place is located on the banks of the Trois-Pistoles river and in its center there is an old saw, grain and wool mill. There is also a house, a small chalet, and workshops for various works.
  
  This summer we are organizing an artistic happening with music, puppets, circus and more. There are a few chores that are organized in anticipation of this big feast! We would like to share the place with people who want to enjoy this little corner of wonder, try out community life and help us with projects that are best done in groups! We spend a lot of time on the place because we have created our jobs there through a cooperative vegetable and seed farm and an artistic ironwork workshop. In our free-time, we enjoy spending time together and doing new projects.
  
  We share meals and food and meet once a week for a meeting and sharing of tasks.

  Le collectif est composé d’ami-e-s, d'artistes, d'agriculteurs-trices et d'artisan-e-s qui vivent sur les terres due l’ancien moulin à Saint-Clément. Nous avons été attiré-e-s dans ce lieu par la vie sauvage qui y est verdoyante et abondante et par la rivière, les champs, la forêt et les bâtiments qui nous offrent l'occasion d'accomplir toutes sortes de projets rêvés. Le lieu est situé sur les berges de la rivière Trois-Pistoles et en son centre il y a un ancien moulin à scie, à grain et à laine. Il y aussi une maison, un petit chalet, et des ateliers pour divers ouvrages.
  
  . Cet été, nous organisons un happening artistique avec de la musique, des marionnettes, du cirque et plus encore. Il y a quelques corvées qui sont organisés en prévision de cette grande fête! Nous aimerions partager l'endroit avec des gens qui veulent profiter de ce petit coin d'émerveillement, essayer la vie en communauté et nous donner un coup de main avec des projets qui se font mieux en groupe! Nous passons beaucoup de temps sur le lieu car nous y avons fait nos emplois au travers d'une ferme coopérative de légumes et de semences et un atelier de ferronerie d'art. Pendant notre temps libre, nous aimons passer du temps ensemble et avancer nos projets.
  
  Nous partageons les repas et la nourriture et nous nous réunissons une fois par semaine pour une réunion et un partage des tâches.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  The community of the village and the region is very dynamic and we like to be involved in the wider community. It will be our pleasure to introduce the visitor to this community which is as much made up of a rural and peasant reality as of a new wave of young people who bring diversity to the area.
  
  
  La communauté du village et de la région est très dynamique et nous aimons nous impliquer dans la communauté large. Ça va nous faire plaisir d'introduire la visite à cette communauté qui est autant composée d'une réalité rurale et paysanne que d'une nouvelle vague de jeunes qui apportent de la diversité dans le coin.

  Help

  We are open to all kinds of deals. We are more interested in meeting and sharing among the community than in exchanging food for help :P. However, we imagined a 15h/week of various participation in exchange for lodging and food. This summer, there have a few small carpentry projects, such as balconies or a dock, that require our attention. Fruit trees and perennials also need love. The farm project won't be accessible to workawayers, since it's a business, but there's plenty of plants, fruits and flowers to play with around the house and the paths, if you're a gardening addict! ;)
  
  Nous sommes ouvert-e-s à toutes sortes de deal. Nous sommes davantage intéressé-e-s par les rencontres et le partage que par échanger de la nourriture contre du travail :P. Cependant, nous imaginions un 15h/ semaine de participation diverses en échange du logis et de la nourriture. Cet été, il y a quelques petits projets de menuiserie, comme des balcons ou un quai, qui demandent notre attention. Les arbres fruitiers aussi auraient besoin d'amour. Le projet de ferme ne sera pas accessible aux workawayers, puisqu'il s'agit d'une entreprise, mais il y a beaucoup de plantes, de fruits et de fleurs avec lesquels jouerautour de la maison si vous voulez vraiment! ;)

  Accommodation

  For now, there are a few free rooms in the main house to accommodate the visit. However, we would like to finish fitting out the ''summer kitchen'' to be able to welcome friends or volunteers there, and thus give access to a small bucolic place with more privacy.
  
  For food, depending on preference, we are prepared to provide food in exchange for participation in maintenance and other projects on site. For our part, we each pay $50 per week in a common pot, in addition to enjoying the vegetables from the farm.
  
  
  Pour l'instant, il y a quelques chambres de libres dans la maison principale pour accueillir la visite. Cependant, nous aiemerions finir l'aménagement de la ''cuisine d'été'' pour pouvoir y accuellir des ami-e-s ou des bénévoles, et donner ainsi accès à un petit endroit bucolique avec davantage d'intimité.
  
  Pour la nourriture, dépendant des préférences, nous sommes prêts à fournir la nourriture en échange la participation à l'entretien et aus projets sur le lieu. Pour notre part, nous payons chacun 50$ par semaine dans un pot commun, en plus de profiter des légumes de la ferme.

  The mill is on the route of the Sentier National which covers hundreds of kilometers in the region.
  
  There are several great swimming and walking spots close to the house.
  
  We are 20 minutes by car from the St. Lawrence River and the village of Trois-Pistoles, or from Lake Témiscouata to the south. It's fairly easy to hitchhike, and we often do the road anyway!
  
  Le moulin est sur le parcours du Sentier National qui fait des centaines de kilomètres dans la région.
  
  Il y a plusieurs endroit de baignades et de balades géniaux proches de la maison.
  
  Nous sommes à 20 minutes de voiture du fleuve Saint-Laurent et du village de Trois-Pistoles, ou de du lac Témiscouata vers le sud. Ça se fait bien sur le pouce, et nous faisons souvent la route de toute façon!
