UPDATE - Looking for a builder/carpenter/ plumber or handyperson to complete our outdoor timber patio and creative garden space.
I am a social entrepreneur who has expanded my lovely 2 story house (plus outdoor tiny room made from recycled materials) into a great co-sharing space to accommodate an ongoing community of 3-5 workaways living here most of the time.
Our work is focused on social change, well-being and peer coaching in healthcare, disadvantaged communities and schools,.
Wellness Projects include managing depression and other chronic disease with our unique peer based wellness coaching trained communities. We need people with skills in writing, editing, ebook creation, education, illustration and design skills mainly InDesign. I am very collaborative and we are an expanding social enterprise very open to the ideas and skills that people bring with them.
Environmental Projects include supporting social change through shareholder activism and climate change activism. We support the work of Daryl, whose house was burnt during the Black Saturday fires 10 years ago. He is building an awesome earthship in Kinglake - an hour from here.
We also need help to keep the house lovely, organised and clean- a bit of gardening, building and garden maintenance work.
We have been fortunate to have so many wonderful applying! My apologies if I don't respond as time is not my friend at this time, and we are very specific in our needs. I will definitely respond if you fit our needs and we have space at the time.
Here are a few key areas in case you fit the description for any one or more of these:

Many vegos and vegans pass through here. We buy a tonne of veggies and fruit at the market each week, and pre-dumpster sourced high quality sourdough breads, I eat whole food and am gluten free (but you can also eat normal food!)
We like people to connect and learn from each other about traveling Australia and doing farm work for extending visa. We have dreams of developing our current living model into an international nomad network where we can share the skills you will learn to do good! If you are interested in applying your skills to a volunteer shareholder activism or Earthship project that are in San Francisco - you may even want to go there as part of your workaway world tour. We see here as a place for you to build great skills to become an awesome volunteer.
We encourage personal wellness in our home in terms of your lifestyle and open channels of communication. We are a drug and smoke free home, but you are more than welcome to overdose on 80% dark chocolate. We also are alcohol free, except for special occasions.
We have a gorgeous loving enthusiastic staffyx dog Shani who needs a little bit more walking and love from everyone.
Bedrooms are either big and lovely spaces, or tiny and lovely spaces. We now have one bedroom for sharing with a bunk bed if you are open to that. Thankyou for your interest.

Meet people from all around the world who also live here and get oriented to life for travellers in Australia. I am a health and wellness coach so supportive of all my workaways and their interests and vision of their future. Supporting people to become health and welness coaches and educators if they have a health care background.
If you have writing, research, app or web development, editing, graphic design, drawing, film making skills that would be of great value to our wellness skill and health literacy education project.
We love innovative thinkers who can contribute to developing ideas and spaces.
If you have cleaning, cooking and especially organising my cupboards and rooms to maximise our spaces, carpentry or general building skills to help us make our spaces more usable that would be of great value to us too!
