  Description

  We live here in the middle of the Swabian Alb biosphere reserve. We try to do as much as possible ourselves, have a composting toilet and heat with wood. In Münsingen we have a few rows of fields for self-sufficiency in vegetables. In our street, we have another house, in which we want to set up a felting workshop. I am a felter and also give felting courses. We have two cats living in our house.
  We look forward to visitors, if you would like to join in with what we do here. Unfortunately I can only speak a little English, but we will still be able to communicate.
  
  Wir wohnen hier Mitten im Biosphärengebiet Schwäbische Alb. Wir versuchen möglichst viel selber zu machen, haben ein Kompostklo und heizen mit Holz. In Münsingen haben wir einige Reihen auf einem Acker zur Selbstversorgung mit Gemüse. In unserer Straße haben wir ein zweites Haus, in dem eine Filzwerkstatt entstehen soll. Ich bin Filzerin und gebe auch Filzkurse. Bei uns im Haus wohnen zwei Katzen.
  Wir freuen uns über Besuch, wenn du Lust hast, bei dem mitzumachen was wir hier zu tun haben. Leider kann ich nur wenig Englisch, aber wir werden uns trotzdem verständigen können.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  I am happy to share with you my knowledge about growing vegetables (organic farming, permaculture) and my experience in building houses as well as my knowledge about wool processing and felting and an ecological lifestyle. I can show you basic skills in felting and you can then make your own felting projects. Felting is not part of the work I expect you to do. You can felt in your free time, but you cannot take part in my felting commissions. If you felt yourself, I would of course be delighted if you shared your experiences with me.
  I would also be happy to talk to you about wild herbs and medicinal herbs and we can go herb collecting together.
  I am happy to learn about your experiences, your life and the country or region you come from.
  It's important to me that we treat each other with respect and meet in an attentive way. I have been committed to unschooling for a long time and have also practiced it with my children, who are now grown up. Exchange and networking are important to me.
  Our village is located in the Swabian Alb biosphere reserve. There are many excursion possibilities in the surrounding area. There are stalactite caves and castle ruins. There is also a lot going on culturally in the village to which we belong, from lectures on history, culture, shepherding, agriculture and natural history to concerts.
  
  
  Ich freue mich, mein Wissen über den Anbau von Gemüse (ökologischer Landbau, Permakultur) und meine Erfahrung im Hausbau sowie mein Wissen über Wollverarbeitung und das Filzen und einen ökologischen Lebensstil mit dir zu teilen. Ich kann dir Grundkenntnisse im Filzen zeigen und du kannst dann deine eigenen Filzprojekte machen. Filzen gehört nicht zu den Arbeiten, die ich von dir erwarte. Du kannst in deiner freien Zeit filzen, dich jedoch nicht an meinen Filzaufträgen beteiligen. Falls du selber filzst, freue ich mich natürlich, wenn du deine Erfahrungen mit mir teilst.
  Gerne tausche ich mich mit dir auch über Wildkräuter und Heilkräuter aus und wir können zusammen Kräuter sammeln gehen.
  Ich freue mich, etwas über deine Erfahrungen, dein Leben und das Land oder die Region, aus der du kommst, zu erfahren.
  Es ist mir wichtig, dass wir uns gegenseitig respektvoll und zugewandt begegnen. Ich engagiere mich seit langem für Unschooling und praktizierte es auch mit meinen Kindern, die inzwischen erwachsen sind. Austausch und Vernetzung sind für mich wichtig.
  Unser Dorf liegt im Biosphärenreservat Schwäbische Alb. In der Umgebung gibt es viele Ausflugsmöglichkeiten. Hier gibt es Tropfsteinhöhlen und Burgruinen. Auch kulturell ist in dem Ort, zu dem wir gehören, viel los, von Vorträgen über Geschichte, Kultur, Schäferei, Landwirtschaft und Naturkunde bis hin zu Konzerten.

  Help

  We will work on projects together. If the weather permits, we will work in the field. I work in the field without machines. The soil has to be loosened, it has to be sown, planted, weeded and harvested.
  Sometimes there is also help around and on the house.There, too, we tasks mainly by hand, and ecology and sustainability are important to us. And of course there is always a lot to do around the house, cooking, preserving vegetables, pickling, collecting and drying herbs and much more.
  
  Wir werden gemeinsam arbeiten. Wenn es das Wetter zu lässt werden wir auf dem Acker arbeiten. Auf dem Acker arbeite ich ohne Maschinen. Der Boden muss gelockert werden, es muss gesät, gepflanzt, gejätet und geerntet werden.
  Manchmal sind auch Arbeiten im, um und am Haus dran. Auch dort arbeiten wir überwiegend von Hand und Ökologie und Naturverträglichkeit sind uns auch da wichtig. Und natürlich ist auch immer einiges im Haushalt zu tun, zu kochen, Gemüse einkochen, einlegen, Kräuter sammeln und trocknen und manches mehr.

  Accommodation

  We have sleeping accommodation in the loft in our house or a bed in the living room. You are welcome to eat with us. We eat mostly vegan, sometimes dairy products and eggs, but no meat.
  Our house is heated with a wood-burning stove. We have a compost toilet and hot water only when the bath stove is heated.
  
  Wir haben eine Schlafunterkunft auf dem Spitzboden bei uns im Haus oder ein Bett im Wohnzimmer. Ihr könnt gerne bei uns mit essen. Wir essen überwiegend vegan manchmal auch Milchprodukte und Eier, aber kein Fleisch.
  Unser Haus wird mit einem Grundofen mit Holz beheizt. Wir haben ein Kompostklo und warmes Wasser nur, wenn der Badeofen geheizt wird.

  There are many opportunities for beautiful hikes here, for example to castles or a waterfall
  Smoking is not permitted in the house.
  The small town to which our village belongs is easily accessible by bus. Few buses go directly to our village. However, the town is only 4 km away and can be easily reached on foot or by bike. It is therefore an advantage if you can bring a bike with you (you may also be able to borrow one from us) There is also an indoor and outdoor swimming pool in the town.
  
  Bei uns gibt es viele Möglichkeiten für schöne Wanderungen zum Beispiel auf Burgen oder zu einem Wasserfall
  Im Haus darf bei uns nicht geraucht werden.
  Die kleine Stadt zu der unser Ort gehört ist recht gut mit dem Nahverkehr mit Bussen erreichbar. Direkt in unser Dorf fahren wenige Busse. Die Stadt ist aber nur 4 km entfernt und kann gut zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad erreicht werden. Es ist also von Vorteil, wenn du ein Fahrrad mit bringen kannst (eventuell kannst du auch eines von uns leihen) In der Stadt gibt es auch ein Hallenbad und ein Freibad.
