    Description

Welcome to Castellatsch, our organic farm in the Stelvio National Park, northern Italy. 🌿

We (Noa and Werner) focus on sustainable agriculture, traditional crafts and renewable raw materials. Our farm is home to llamas and alpacas, peacocks, chickens and two cats:)

Along with vegetable gardens, vineyards and fields, We work with renewable resources to produce eco-friendly food, cosmetics and building materials. Throughout the year we host workshops on self-reliance, covering topics such as natural construction, plant-based food production and traditional textiles. once in a while we organize a special textile project where we produce yarn from plants using historic equipment.

We are looking for practical people who enjoy working outdoors and appreciate nature - especially handymen, woodworkers and those interested in practical agricultural tasks. The work varies depending on the season and includes gardening, vineyard maintenance, small construction projects and general farm maintenance.

the work require independence and a willingness to learn. Our location is relatively remote, offering peace and solitude, but we are often busy with eco-building projects, so helpers need to be comfortable working independently at times. If you enjoy hands-on work, nature and sustainability, Castelatsch is a great place to gain practical experience and learn traditional skills.

  • Help

    Help

The help on our farm is diverse and depends on the season. Agricultural tasks include gardening, hay harvesting, and working in the vineyards, as well as tending to the vegetable garden. We also process our harvest into products like marmalade and use various traditional preservation methods.

In addition to farm work, there are always small projects involving woodwork, such as building wooden structures, pergolas, and garden furniture, as well as maintaining and repairing them. If you enjoy working with your hands and appreciate practical outdoor tasks, you will find plenty to do and learn here.

Important for the work: Bring good mountain shoes or hiking boots, as some of the work is done on steep meadows.

Workawayers should enjoy nature and have time for recreation, but there should be a balance between work and leisure—this is not a holiday stay.

The surrounding area offers plenty of outdoor activities, with mountains and glaciers right at your doorstep. Nearby, you’ll find charming villages and towns to explore. On the farm, you can swim in the lake during summer, and just a short distance away, there’s a historic castle with a cultural inn.

a bicycle is available for use, and the train station is a 10-minute ride or a 30-minute walk from the farm. South Tyrol is known for its stunning landscapes, rich culture, and numerous attractions.
