Description
I am currently a photojournalist with the United States Air Force.

I have always loved to travel and stay very busy. I've done other work aways at animal shelters, hostels and farm stays. I earned my bachelor's in health and physical education and was a teacher at both the high school and elementary levels. Physical activity, being outdoors, photography and animals are all my biggest passions! :)

In addition to media, photojournalism, and teaching I also have backgrounds in figure skating, alpine skiing, retail, kitchen prep, animal care, airport customer service, and the hostel and hotel industry.

I am self sufficient and very independent but I love the benefits of working with a team and meeting people from all different cultures. My favorite bits of travel are meeting new people, experiencing new ideas and ways of life, learning new things, trying new food and new challenges, just to name a few! :)

I had an amazing time working with the bees and learning all about the honey-making process.

While I loved the work and am genuinely thankful for everything I learned, this was the most challenging Workaway I’ve done to date. The level of oversight was intense and I constantly worried about making mistakes.
