Description
About Us ❤️
Hello! I’m Charlotte - a musician, composer, and facilitator of creative voice and meditative arts. I live with my playful 3-year-old son Henry and our gentle Cavoodle Willow on a beautiful bush property surrounded by forest and wildlife.
Our home is a creative family space that also welcomes artists, travellers, and friends who love to live simply, connect deeply, and share music, dance, art, nature, and laughter.
Just down the road, we have a non-profit music and dance studio where we host community events, creative gatherings, and cultural exchanges. We’re gradually growing a small intentional community that celebrates creativity, mindfulness, and connection to the land.
The Exchange 🌻
We offer a flexible rhythm of shared help and time off - this isn’t about strict hours, but about balance, communication, and mutual care.
We can negotiate the exchange that suits both our rhythms at the time of your visit:
Option 1:
🌞 Around 4–5 hours a day, 5 days a week — food and accommodation included
Option 2:
🌿 Around 2–3 hours a day, 5 days a week — accommodation only (you buy & cook your own meals)
Days and times are flexible, so we can work around your energy, study, or travel plans.
What You’ll Help With 🪴
Our “help” looks like being part of family and community life - practical, creative, and sometimes playful. Examples include:
• Simple cooking and cleaning
• Tidying shared spaces
• Gardening or light outdoor work
• Playing or spending gentle time with Henry (usually while I’m nearby)
• Helping prepare our retreat spaces for workshops
• Optional: creative contributions (music, art, photography, writing, community ideas)
(And translation of children’s books to Spanish is a bonus job!)
We welcome your personal interests - whether that’s permaculture, music, yoga, crafts, or mindful living. We’ll find ways for your gifts to fit naturally into daily life.
Accommodation 🏡
You’ll have a private room and/or small caravan and access to:
• Shared kitchen, bathroom, and laundry
• Wi-Fi
• Musical instruments and creative studio space
• Bush trails, swimming holes, and campfire spots
It’s simple but cozy and surrounded by forest and stars.
Practical Bits 💡
• We’re in a peaceful rural area with no public transport walking distance, but I go to town most days and can offer lifts.
• 15 minutes to Kyneton or Woodend (train, cafes, shops).
• Non-smokers only
• Couples and small families welcome.
• Spanish speakers encouraged! (I only speak Spanish with Henry.) othet languages also ok!
What You’ll Experience 🌈
• Connection with a warm, creative family and local community
• Space to explore your own art, music, or practice
• Shared meals, song, dance and laughter
• Quiet rest and nature time when you need it
• Invitations to come as a guest/s to community events, music sessions, or workshops
We live slowly-ish (I have a toddler), kindly, and creatively - where “help” feels more like shared rhythm than “work.”
Our Ideal Guest 🌿
You might be a great fit if you:
✨ Love children, nature, and creative living
✨ Enjoy both quiet and connection
✨ Are respectful, responsible, and open-hearted
✨ Value community and simple joys more than perfection
✨ Want to share something of yourself - language, art, laughter, or stories
Interested? 💌
If this sounds like your kind of home, send me a message introducing yourself -who you are, what you love, and what draws you to this experience.
We can arrange a friendly WhatsApp chat to see if it’s a good match.
Warmly,
Charlotte, Henry & Willow 🐾

Creative music and movement is something we specialise in and can share about. We live in an area that has a lot of Old volcanic rock, my parents live down the road, and my mum especially is very interested in native plants and they are part of the local Landcare group, and very knowledgeable-there are beautiful walks and places to visit in the area
