    Description

Hello! We’re a young, easy-going family living in Frome - voted best place to live in the UK for the last 2 years. We live in a lovely townhome with a great garden and a short walk from the town centre. The train station is also close, which makes exploring Bath or London easy to do as well.

We are looking for someone to join us from May 26/27 until the end of July. Longer placements preferable, and anyone who could do that whole time would be a great fit.

We have three young boys (5, 3 and 1) and are looking for someone who is fun, playful and active. Our five year old loves playing ninjas in the garden, our 3 year old loves reading books and building lego, and the one year old loves nice walks in the pram :)

The older two are in school/nursery most of the week so the help is in the afternoons, or occasionally in the morning with the 1 year old - taking him off to activities or playing with him at home/in the garden.

Experience caring for young kids is a huge plus, as well as a good communicative level of English so that instructions about their care are clearly understood. We of course are willing to help you improve further with your language studies in any way we can - and the kids talk a lot!!

If you’ve never changed a nappy then willingness to learn is a must! Looking after young kids is not difficult but it can be repetitive and tiring so please consider if this is a good fit for you.

Other than our kids, we need help with general housekeeping - laundry folding, kitchen and playroom tidying, and prepping supper for the kids. You needn’t be a Masterchef, but if you like cooking then you’re more than welcome to make some dishes :)

We are an open and welcoming household. We, and the kids, are used to houseguests and hope to make you feel like part of our family while you are here. Initiative, friendliness and patience are all assets we promote and appreciate.

Look forward to hearing from you :)

We are an open, creative, and fun loving family. My wife worked in the film industry previously but is now retraining as an acupuncturist. I’m American and work as a creative director for a well known tech company. We love cooking and spending our weekends exploring the gorgeous countryside or taking advantage of the different festivals and markets happening all the time in Frome. We can offer lots of suggestions for fun daytrips from Frome.

Competent English is important for communicating with us and the children, but we are open to helping you improve your conversational language skills so you needn't be a pro :)

We would love to show our kids that there is a big wide world out there so other cultures, customs and cooking are very much welcome in our home.

Frome has so much going on with lots of great cafes, restaurants, events, live-music and theatre. Bath is 20 mins by car or 30 minutes by train. London is 2.5 hours by train or car as well. Stonehenge and Wells Cathedral are both 30 minutes too.

We love where we live and can’t wait to share it with you.
