Description
**We have availability from mid April until June, and July/August dates tbc**
Hello!
We are a happy and easy-going family living in Frome - voted best place to live in the UK for the last 2 years. We live in a lovely townhome with a great garden and a short walk from the town centre. The train station is also close, which makes exploring Bath or Bristol easy to do as well.
We have three boys (7, 5 and 3) and 1 year old baby girl.
We are looking for someone who is fun, playful and active.
We need help with household chores and playing with the kids. End of day clear up and tidy is a lifesaver!
Experience caring for young kids is a must, as well as a very competent level of English.
We are an open and welcoming household. We, and the kids, are used to houseguests and hope to make you feel like part of our family while you are here.
We are a good fit if you are:
Positive
Warm
Used to taking care of yourself - can make your own meals etc
Have good initiative and don't always need instructions on how to help - eg does laundry need folding, are there toys I can put away....
Looking to explore the Southwest of England and keen to explore Bristol, Bath, Jurassic Coast etc
Confident with kids
Happy to play football in the garden or take kids out for a walk in the pram
Happy to read books and play Lego
Really into kids - ideally thinking about going into a kid-centric career - Nursery, Teacher, Midwife, etc!
We are not a good fit if you are:
Not used to helping around the house
Overly introverted
A night owl - we ask for help in the morning and we all go to bed pretty early!
We look for stays of 4-6 weeks but can be flexible in some circumstances.
Look forward to hearing from you :)

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are an open, creative, and fun loving family. My wife worked in the film industry previously but is now retraining as an acupuncturist. I’m American and work as a creative director for a well known tech company. We love cooking and spending our weekends exploring the gorgeous countryside or taking advantage of the different festivals and markets happening all the time in Frome. We can offer lots of suggestions for fun daytrips from Frome.
Competent English is important for communicating with us and the children, but we are open to helping you improve your conversational language skills so you needn't be a pro :)
We would love to show our kids that there is a big wide world out there so other cultures, customs and cooking are very much welcome in our home.

Earl and Katie are the best foster parents I could have asked for, and their children are incredibly polite and friendly.
