Description
Note: We genuinely love hosting people—it enriches all of us. After a couple of less-than-ideal experiences, we've decided to have a video call with each volunteer beforehand. We hope this helps us find the best match for everyone going forward.
Hello! We are a family of 4 - Jiří, the dad, Kami, the mom, Ami, the 3 year old girl, and Lumi, the baby boy (born Aug. 2024). Jiří is self-employed, mostly home office, and I'm a developmental psychologist, now fully focused on being a mom.
We are looking for someone who will become a part of our family as a big sister/brother. That means playing with our kids, helping around the house with chores, or cooking vegetarian dishes.
We're looking for one person (or a couple) who loves children, is energetic and is not afraid of children's emotions:) Me, the mom, I would always be available, so for example, you would be playing with the older one in the living room and I would be working on a computer, cooking, etc. Also, we ask our volunteers to be a little more quiet during kids' nap time and in the evenings.
We'd like you to help out around 20h a week and stay with us a minimum of 2 weeks. Your schedule will be flexible and you will have time to travel and explore. We live in a quiet village near Prague and the public transportation is a great way to travel around.
You will have your own room with big windows into our garden with trees.

We live in a quiet village about 30 mins away from Prague by train/bus so you will have plenty of opportunities to explore Prague. Also, the Czech Republic is small and you would be able to take the train/bus to other cities and even other countries (Germany, Austria, Poland etc.).

Kami accepted us even though we were not very good at English. She was very kind and listened to us until the end, so we were able to relax from the first day. There are two very adorable angels in the house.
