Description
We are an English family living in Portugal, and we have an idea to create a small holding farm with as much ecological input as we can implement with intent to improve as it rolls along.
We are in the early stage of this project and are looking for help in many aspects of work, such as, clearing the land,
building, renovation in a traditional compact earth method recycled and taken from the land (so called adobe, sun-dried earth bricks made with a adequate percentage of clay ).
planting, animal care, etc.. We currently have 1 dogs a 1 cat and 2 goats.
The land consists of an Orange Grove, Madronho berries, Eucalyptus, Pine trees + 2 wells (for intended renovation in a traditional rural style).
There is a limited bus service from the local village that can take you into Portimão

Very soon we will be starting our project of our Rammed earth home so anyone who has any kind of experience with eco Rammed earth building please do get in contact if you are interested in helping us.

Accommodation
We are looking for workawayers who have their own van/campervan, or we will providea tent . Items that are required are; Sleeping bags, beach/normal towels and head touches.
Eco-toilets and outside shower facilities are provided & outside kitchen.
What else ...
The fantastic west coast is only 25 minutes away by car for surfing wind surfing and kite surfing , diving & snorkeling.
The south coast is 15 minutes by car away ,for the same as above and much more as the beautiful diverse town of lagos is one of our nearest.
Monchique is our back drop , fantastic for hiking cycling, horse riding dog walking etc .. all in all plenty to do if you fancy it .
On our land we have two small lakes one that can be used for free swimming on those hot days .
