    Description

Namates my name is Bishwo. We are aiming to establish an organic farm that functions as an educational center for sustainable living. I Recognize Nepal's abundant agricultural potential and the urgent need to reintegrate the nation's youth and women into farming I want to build an institution to create significant opportunities for sustainable growth and economic growth.

The project will implement permaculture principles, modern composting techniques and a sustainable marketplace for locally grown produce. These initiatives are designed to cultivate self-reliance and enhance community health.

Join us in our journey to cultivate a sustainable, prosperous future for Nepal. Your support will initiate a ripple effect that extends beyond the project.
Together, let's nurture hope and prosperity in the fertile lands of Nepal, transforming lives and landscapes one seed at a time.

Bhaktapur is a historical city full of stories and monuments. I was born and raised here. I enjoy sharing my culture and city with travelers from a local prespective.

I'm actively working on different community projects, charity's and networking with local businesses so you will have the opportunity to meet a lot of locals.

We have many festivals in Bhaktapur and often enjoy walking around the city exploring with guests, drinking tea or grabbing a beer and sitting at the square.

    Help

We are in the very beginning stages of the farm project.
We would love 4 weeks minimum of helping hands. Its important to have a team of self motivated leaders who are passionate about the project and want to make a difference.

Whats something below you could see youself doing?

    1: Construction
If you are skilled in carpentry, woodwork and sanding we have plently of building projects, like building a farm house, green house and animal shelters.

    2: Website Developer / Admin
We need a website to showcase our beautiful projects. Preferably would like someone who is proficient in English.
Photography, creating content for social media, answering emails and website.

    3: Farm work
We are at the beginning stages of our farm.
-Constructing a small organic vegetable garden.
-Building fences, digging, planting, weeding and clearing land.

    4: Maintenance
We need an all round handy woman or man to help with the upkeep in the hostel. Someone who has a great eye for detail and can take initiative. This could include changing bed sheets, keeping common areas clean etc.

Switching from task to task daily may be required so being flexible and open minded is necessary.

Please consider that our daily life tasks are not part of the working. (We all clean in our own home so please feel at home!

We are sharing our life with our volunteers so it is very important to us who is joining our family, therefore we always make a video call to know each other better before making our final decision.

I also own a Guesthouse and Hostel in Bhaktapur so sometimes I may not always be around at the farm but we have a group whatsapp where we keep in touch.

Accomodation will be at the hostel untill the lodge and facilities are built at the farm. This is also a nice opportunity to meet other travellers while still making your trip in Nepal a meaningful exprenece.

When applying, please tell us something different that sets YOU appart from everyone else and a idea you could contribute to the project.

Saturaday is a holiday in Nepal so we want you to relax...
If im free i like to join and do activites with the volunteers and guests.
We know a few places that play live music, sometimes we meet for jamming sessions with the locals. We enjoy BBQ nights, Karaoke, movie nights in our cinema room, group adventures out of the valley for a few nights. Visiting other farms and local community projects. We love to go out for dinner sometimes in local restaurants. Night/day walks around the old city.
We have 2 bicycles you can rent. Many cool towns and villages nearby you can visit.

We are located in Kathmandu Valley so there are plenty of day hikes, waterfalls and local buses nearby. Kathmandu is 40mins-1hour away.

There are workshops and classes in Bhaktapur like Thanka Painting , Pottery, Wood carving, Yoga and Meditation.. etc.
This is your holiday too and we want you to enjoy the experience while staying with us.
