Hello! My name is Carolina, from Medellín, Colombia, a vibrant country, that is rich in ethnicities, cultures, welcoming people and breathtaking biodiversity.
I consider myself an adventorous, nature-lover person and lifelong learner. I feel motivated when taking on challenges that make me grow as a person and that help transform other's realities. I love learning about new cultures, also sharing mine and having conversations that enrich perspectives.
I am an engineer by profession, a teacher by vocation, and a nature-lover by passion! I have been teaching for the last 12 years in my home country, and would love to have the experience of teaching in a different place, giving me the opportunity to learn, challenge my knowledge and ideas with different contexts, and, of course, to offer diverse perspectives that can enrich students' understanding of the world around them. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and life skills with my students and I love those aha! moments when they discover something about the world or themselves. I am a curious teacher who is constantly exploring, researching, and implementing educational methodologies that not only enhance technical skills but also empower students to develop critical thinking, real-world problem-solving abilities, and social-emotional skills.
I hold a Master's degree in Sustainability, a subject close to my heart and which I try to make part of my life with my daily actions. I'm highly interested in sustainable agriculture, healthy habits and social causes.
Some of my hobbies are mountain biking, dancing (salsa, of course! :D), photography, painting and hiking.
I would love to find a place where I can share, learn and co-create experiences for lifelong learning!Interests
