  • Description

Hi there, my name is Annie and I am 22 and from Australia!

I am heading to Nepal from early May until early July. I would love to do a few Workaway stays over this time and learn about Nepalese lifestyle and culture from locals who know it best, as well as do some hiking while I am there.

I grew up on a farm in Australia, which developed in me a love of nature, sustainability and self-sufficiency. I enjoy hiking, camping, reading, board games, swimming, craft and spending time with friends and family. I have experience working on farms and orchards, and in disability support (I am studying Occupational Therapy).

I am interested in workaway experiences that involve housework, farmwork, childcare and community projects.. but am mostly excited to meet new people and experience a different culture and way of living.

  • More details about your skills

I am a fourth-year university student studying Occupational Therapy with experience in disability support, farm work and volunteering. I am patient, hardworking, and happy to help in any way I can. I see Workaway as a great opportunity to learn from others, experience new cultures, and contribute in a meaningful way.

Through my studies and hands-on experience, I have supported people with different abilities and needs, helping with daily tasks, mobility, and personal care. I am kind, patient, and respectful, and I always try to listen and support people in a way that works best for them.

I have also worked on a farm, doing orchard and nursery work, like planting, pruning, harvesting, and general maintenance. I enjoy physical work, being outdoors, and learning new skills. I’m happy to follow instructions and respect the way things are done.

My volunteer work in a homeless service and an aged care facility has given me experience in community support, companionship, and helping with daily activities. I love connecting with people and contributing in a way that makes a difference.

I also enjoy cooking and preparing meals and am happy to help in the kitchen, cook and work with whatever ingredients are available. I’m not a fussy eater and am happy to adapt to whatever is provided.

I am fluent in English and familiar with email and some social media. I know that every Workaway experience is different, and I respect the way each place is run. I’m easygoing, open to learning, and comfortable with simple living and different ways of doing things. I appreciate the chance to be part of a new environment and am excited to contribute, meet new people, and experience life in Nepal!
