Description
Hi. 😊
My name is sue.
I started volunteering about 13 years ago but let me give you a potted history of my journey which has led me to decide to hopefully get involved with volunteering again.
I am a trained event florist which I enjoyed for many years but my desire to travel eventually led me to pluck up the courage to leave my floristry job and to travel to Australia, Germany and France in a volunteering capacity.
On return to England i worked for an agency where I house and pet sat whilst the owners were away.
Below are expamples of my skills and experiences I can offer:
I have worked on equestrian centres and horse farms so i am no stranger to poo picking!!! i have fed and watered horses. groomed horses and have moved them from paddock to paddock. I have cleaned tack. I can muck out stables. i am not an experienced rider but am open to learning.
I love the outdoors and have a real love for gardening and am no stranger to hard work.
I also have experience in change overs ie cleaning and preparing caravans and holiday chalets for new customers.
I have owned my own pets over the years (too many to list here lol) . I am an animal lover. I have also walked dogs on a voluntary basis
I hold a clean driving licence so would be able to drive if a job required it.
I have a strong work ethic and am trustworthy. I work well in a team and also independanty.
I have a small campervan so love to travel. I'm hoping to mix my travelling with volunteering.
So that's me!!!! 😊 -
