Hello!
I'm Sam, from the UK. I'm happiest when I'm connecting with people, and outdoors surrounded by nature. So I'm seeking hosts that are close to nature and with a social side. I currently work for a wildlife charity and do a lot of volunteering, helping to manage a nature reserve for wildlife. I have a degree in Conservation Biology and Ecology and my dream is to help restore biodiveristy.
I have travelled in Europe and Asia, I've stayed with workaway hosts a few times, doing tasks such as picking olives, looking after rescue dogs, building bricks, house maintenance, gardening, house sitting and all sorts of little odd jobs! I'm sure I have some way I can help your project and look forward to learning more from it.
I'm happy doing any work that is required, I am practically skilled and enjoy building/fixing things. My true passion is nature and wildlife, especially birds, my binoculars are usually around my neck and I would be more than happy to teach you about the birds and wildlife around where you live.
I'm not one for sticking to the regular tourist path, I want to experience the true reality of a place and the lives of its people. This is why I love Workaway! I really enjoy connecting with new people, hearing about their lives and perspectives. Living, eating and working together are important to me.
I'm utterly fed up with the modern world. It's so materialistic and progress-driven, I feel I'm missing out on a truer way of living, one closer to fulfilling me as a human, and one which is more in harmony with nature. Maybe you can help me find it.

I'm a practical person, I have some tradesman-ship skills and am competent with hand tools. I can do carpentry, painting, building or whatever I put my mind to.
