Hello! My name is Paige and I am a masters student in London studying environmental justice. I am super interested in community organizing, farming, and agriculture. As a native english speaker it is very easy to rely on english and not learn other languages, but I think that immersing yourself in a new culture involves at least learning some pieces of that community's language. I am interested in further my Spanish skills and also learning new languages as they are relevant. I am also able to teach english.

I have lots of general skills from my time as a workawayer on farms and in communities. I have some experience teaching English, planting, harvesting, and caring for animals. I also have experience with cooking, cleaning, and general maintenance around homes, restaurants, and cafes. In my home life, I study sustainability and ecology and am very passionate about environmentalism and sustainable food-systems. I work on an urban farm and have lots of experience in caring for livestock and organizing community events to connect people with nature.

I really enjoy board games and cozy evenings playing cards outside with cool people. I enjoy meeting new people and learning about their lives and travels. I am a huge animal lover and generally enjoy all things nature and outside and am very passionate about sustainability and environmentalism. I really enjoy reading and classic literature as well.

I spent two weeks at this retreat and had an excellent experience. Jan is very caring of his volunteers and guests. Paige was quiet at first but eventually opened up. She is a very well-intentioned and decent person. During her time with us, she established close relationships with those around her. I spent two weeks at the farm, and I had such an amazing time. This was my first workaway and Burak and everyone at the farm made the experience so amazing. This is such a great place to learn about Turkish culture and farming and also connect with an incredible group of travelers from around the world. Thank you so much!
