Description
I am in the wonderful situation of having a life without fixed plans in front of me. I kept myself very busy in the past years but now the time has come to realign: How do I want my life to continue? In this journey, I want to throw myself in new situations, experience adventures, improve my surf skills, let people inspire me, learn new skills, let myself guide from encounters on my way, find myself in situations I can't even imagine now. Doing things for the plot!

People know me as a musician (singer who also plays violin, viola, piano, guitar), performer, host, dancer, actor, teacher (singing, dancing), youth worker, problem solver, adventurer, comedian, United World College alumna, surf-craver, journalist, figuring-outer, positive person with so many interests and loads of energy.

More details about my language interests
My mother tongue is German (technically, it is Esperanto, but I lost a lot of this language), I speak fluently English and used to speak fluently French (it's a bit rusty but comes back when I use it). Since you learn a language by using it, I am happy to offer conversations in German or teach or answer questions. Whatever you want and need! I started to learn Spanish when I travelled to Costa Rica in January 2026 and am now able to have small conversations and solve problems, improving every day.

I am very versatile and know how to figure out a lot of things, I love finding creative and smart solutions. I'm dedicated and aspire to fulfill my tasks with the highest standard possible. I embrace challenges, I am quick in learning new concepts and not afraid of work.

I have worked in the performing artist as a musical theatre actor, singer, dancer, choreographer and writer for a children concert organisation. Recently, I toured as a Heart Global Cast Member and was a facilitator and translator for workshops with up to 300 kids.

My education beforehand was completing my German Abitur in 2020, moving to Singapore on a scholarship by United World College and completing the International Baccalaureate, and then I did a 2-year-apprenticeship in Ensemble Conducting in Musical Theatre with an additional pedagogic formative year.

Other Work Experience: bakery sales assistant, hostess for various companies, HR/B2B/B2C intern in a company for digital parking lot management, helper in a restaurant kitchen.

My extracurriculars include: Working with children/teenagers, Student/Scholar Representative, Assistant Director at a Musical Theatre Gala, Voices for Refugees, Facilitator Global Cooking Programme, Music/Movement/Storytelling with kids with visual and auditive disabilities, graduation yearbook (editor-in-chief, layout and text editing, fundraising), facilitator reflection weekend, journalist

While a lot of my work experience might look more „brainy“ and like less work with my hands – don’t worry, I am happy to get them working and dirty and I also consider myself as very strong :)

Milena was a super star with working .We gave her the task of beautifying a small Casita which involved sanding varnishing and painting .She worked meticulously ,was always on time and has a great wirk ethic.She is intelligent and loves to surf.We also all enjoyed lostening to her sing .We would highly recommend her as a volunteer .

Travelling to Cambutal can be a little adventure – it’s possible to do it by public bus, just know that every year around February/March, there’s the Carnaval in Las Tablas which might affect your connections/overlays. But everyone in the region is incredibly friendly, so many people were helping me :)

Bruno and Luisa are very nice, interesting… read more and caring people. In the first evening or when some new workawayer arrived, we had dinner altogether – thanks again, Luisa, you have some really good cooking skills!

Bruno‘s property is like 10 minutes away from the sea, on the way is a kind of international supermarket and a nice new café, 15 minutes in the other direction is a Panamanian tienda. In addition, during the week, there’s different people passing by from who you can buy eggs, milk, cheese, vegetables or prawn. Bruno and Luisa will ensure that you know about these opportunities.

I stayed with them for 8 working days and spent these with removing rust from the roof of the container apartment, sanding and painting wood, as well as painting the ceiling in the little casita that they’re building right now. Bruno handed the responsibility over to me so that I make it nice.

Outside work, I of course went surfing. I started with a foamie and when Bruno saw my skills after some days, he made me change to a shorter epoxy board to keep me challenged and to make progress. I felt that was quite caring! Also, he didn’t get mad at me when I returned with a broken fin on one board and he especially didn’t get mad at me when I accidentally dinged the other board, only two days later. (While I of course felt incredibly bad!) Instead, he was more concerned whether I got injured.

The life in Cambutal is calm, sometimes there‘s an event. I witnessed a live music evening, a market and the annual fishing competition including a fiesta. The community is rather small, international though, and I soon knew many faces. I feel like many people are couples and/or families and it wasn’t so easy to meet people in their 20s. Though, I made a Panamanian friend while surfing and in my last evening at the fishing competition, another guy approached me nicely, so if I had stayed longer and also, if my Spanish was better, maybe it would have developed. Because the people are nice and curious!

Cambutal is a good place to experience some solitude (if you want), so I wished to having brought more books. And fyi, there’s no ATM but many places are cash only (but both supermarkets take card). If I had asked Luisa/Bruno for advice on these little issues, we probably could have easily worked something out as both are solution oriented and well connected, but I wasn’t bothered enough to approach.

Towards the end of my stay, Bruno proactively asked around for other workaway opportunities for me and recommended me, so that I got an offer.

All in all, it was a good experience! I enjoyed my tasks, Bruno and Luisa are nice hosts and I felt it was a fair exchange! Thank you so much for those days!
