Hey! This is Kiu from the UK, a fresh psychology graduate, aiming to support mental health and SEN children in the future. Meanwhile I am taking a gap year to gain work experience, also exploring the world to connect with more people, learning different cultures, in an authentic way! I am excited about this opportunity to connect with more people, build life-long friendships, and immerse myself into different culture!

A bit about my personality: my friends describe me as a positive sunshine who puts in maximum effort into my work, and activities. This aligns perfectly with my life objective, to constantly challenge myself and stepping out of comfort zone! Personal growth brings me immense happiness, which drives my eagerness to learn new skills, and putting in 100% effort into all my work!

A little bit of me outside of work... includes practising martial arts, hiking, running, reading, playing chess and board games with friends! During these activities I have
and developed variety of skills, including team works, strategic thinking, and perseverance. These hobbies also enhanced my ability to perform well in both working independent, and group works.

I love language exchanges! Many phases are unable to be fully translated due to historical and cultural context. Learning a different language is opening a door to understand a new culture! I am fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese), intermediate in Chinese (Mandarin), and able to hold daily conversation in Japanese. Recently, I began my journey of learning Greek due to my fascination of learning Greek mythologies, a perfect way to learn about the stories in a deeper context!

About my skills, I currently work as a teaching assistant in a primary school, which has helped me build experience working with children and their families. Looking after children, teaching schoolwork, and even different languages! I tailor my teaching methods to suit each child's learning style, adapt to different settings, and respond quickly when plans change unexpectedly. My goal is always to provide a supportive and positive environment for everyone.

I also have experience living independently, which equipped me with practical skills such as managing basic chores, maintenance, and cooking!
