Description
Hi there! We are a Traditional portuguese family of 4 vegetarians, Tiago, Joana, and two litlle kids aged 4 and 1 years old. Plus 2 cats, 2 hens, 2 ducks and 3 dwarf goats.
We are trying to live a sustainable life, so we bought a piece of land between Caldas da Raina and Óbidos, where we try to renovate the buildings, take care of the land, and some sustainable facilities such as a solar showers, compost toilet or a grey water recycling system. We also run a forest school project in a public park where kids are always in contact with nature.
Before having kids and owning the land we were spending mostly of our time traveling by hitchhiking around the world.
We are both teachers, working in an NGO promoting the connection between the children and the nature throughout the forest school sessions.
Currently Tiago is also studying in a Medical School.
We are vegetarians and love to have a good conversation over a good meal and a cup of tea.
Our house is in a village with many facilities, good transportation and few minutes away from Caldas da Rainha, Óbidos and Foz do arelho. It´s also about 25 minutes driving to Peniche and Nazaré.Types of help and learning opportunities
