Hello! My name is Karol. I'm a non-binary Polish person living in London. My two biggest loves are people and art. I cherish meeting new people and cultivating my relationships. I'm a passionate theatre-maker and a makeup artist. My favourite trait in myself and others is curiosity. I love travelling, learning new skills, and discovering life through the lens of different cultures. I value creativity and self-expression through different art forms. I always look for new, interesting ways to turn my feelings and emotions into something, whether it's a piece of writing, a performance or another project. I have a strong sense of needing to be useful and helping others, especially since I'm an immigrant and a member of a marginalised queer community. I feel strongly for anyone in need and always try to offer a helping hand - whether it's through community work, a simple conversation or even a simple smile. I’m fluent in Polish and English, able to teach both. I’m intermediate in French (have been learning for two years) would love to practice further. I used to be quite fluent in Spanish but I haven’t used it in many years, can understand a lot and have simple conversations. I know basics of Italian and would love to learn further too.

I’m a trained performer and keen to create many different forms of art, always open to learning new skills. I enjoy using my creativity to come up with solutions to problems, building new things and bringing people together. I can also do a lot of manual work such as carrying, fixing and mounting things. I’ve put together all of the furniture in my room- my bed, wardrobe, desk etc. I’ve spent one summer helping my brother in his construction company so I know how to do simple construction and decorative work such as sanding walls and painting. I’m very proficient at cleaning and have good organisation skills. My cooking abilities are pretty basic but I can prepare really tasty meals. I can take care of children and pets- especially when it comes to playing games and entertaining. I have great communication and people skills. I love team work and collaboration. I’m a natural leader but I’m also happy to follow and learn from others. I can’t play any instruments and would love to learn -especially piano! That’s a big thing on my bucket list. I’ve given English lessons in the past and find myself quite a good teacher, so I’m always up for language exchange!
