Hello!
My name is Emma, I am 25 years old and have a month off work in January 2026.
I spent all of last year backpacking around the world and even did my first workaway stays! Excited to be back on here and traveling again!
I love being outdoors in any way I can, whether that be rock climbing, hiking, biking, camping, sailing, swimming, and the list goes on. I am easy-going, energetic, motivated, hard-working, and fun. I am excited to learn new things and try just about everything I can because life is too short.
I have spent the last six years doing customer service jobs because I realized that I love working and talking with people. When I found out about Workaway I knew this would be the perfect fit for me.

In terms of professional skills, I currently work as a Barista at a local cafe. I have loved working there as I feel like it is a very universal job. I have learned how to make drinks and food and can see myself being able to use those skills as I look for volunteer opportunities in the future. In the past I have also been an X-ray technician at a chiropractors office, a data entry/administrative assistant for a couple years at a local non profit, and a muiltude of other customer service focused jobs. I know computers and technology fairly well. I also performed receptionist duties, so I can answer calls, fulfill requests, and provide whatever service needed with great communication skills. I have learned so much from all my jobs in and they have taught me that I love to serve and help provide resources for my community, and that my small actions can make a big difference.
In 2022, I was a au pair for 5 kids in Ornex, France, where I helped teach English, take care of the kids and the house. It was an incredible experience because I got to fully immerse myself into their culture and I learned so much about teaching English and running a household. While I was there I got to see 20 countries in Europe and I can't wait to go back one day!
For other random skills, I can cut and dye hair, knit and crochet clothes, and I can play the ukulele. I love hiking, biking, camping, baking, reading, movies, painting, singing, dancing, and the list goes on. I have recently opened an Etsy shop to sell my crochet items, so I am getting into the online business realm.
I am very motivated to learn every skill possible as well as learn from different people and cultures.

Fun fact about me: I love to line dance! I used to go every Monday and Thursday to local places near me that host line dancing and I would love to teach it wherever I go!
