    Description

We are a couple from Switzerland. Since 2023, we live in a beautiful place in Valtimo in Finland and have a small farm. In Switzerland I worked as a nurse, and Patrick as an electrician and a farmer. We missed the nature and the quiet. We were unhappy with our jobs and the live we lived. So we decided to change our lives. The permaculture and the sustainability is a passion since a long time. Now we try to live with our passion:) We try to grow our own vegetable and live as sustainable as possible. We would like to create a nice place with a forest garden and some permacultural ideas. On our farm are two small "Mökkis", which we are renovating. It is our dream, to open a small B&B. We live on a peninsula and it is surrounded by lots of natural forest. Our family is the two of us, our Dog Najuk and our Dog Wilma, some running ducks, some sheeps and two goats.

There is always something to do and a lot to learn on our small farm. Since we love permaculture and are convinced of this way of life, we would love to introduce our Workawayers to it and teach them more about this philosophy. Maybe some of you will even be inspired by it.

In the summer, we make hay following the old Finnish tradition, which we would love to teach you. Of course, there are also various craft and manual tasks to do from time to time. If you are interested in expanding your skills in this area, we are more than happy to teach you.

We also love incorporating the knowledge and skills that Workawayers bring into our projects and learning from you.

Our animals are also looking forward to meeting you and enjoying a bit of care and attention.

Cooking is something we would love to share with you, and we are excited to try your dishes and specialties. At the same time, we would be happy to share our own specialties with you. It is important to us that we use the fresh vegetables currently growing in our garden.
