Hello!
I am new to Workaway and very keen to get out there and meet some of you all and learn some new things and contribute how I can! I've been in Melbourne saving up money for the first half of my working holiday year and now I want to come North and see what else Australia has going on. I'm especially interested in building projects, diy projects and agricultural projects, particularly eco-friendly ones.
I've been a city dweller for my entire adult life and I'd really like a change of pace, and to meet new people where they are at and learn about all the other ways there are to live. Before coming to Australia, I finished a masters degree in Urban Planning and was living in Copenhagen. I was born in the US, and have lived in the UK, Denmark, Norway and now Australia for some time. I like music and play in a band back home, am interested in politics and above all I am a people person, who loves to delve into the passions and interests of others. I'll be travelling light, just me and my motorbike up the coast!

I don't have many practical skills but I am a hard worker and quick learner, who just hasn't had the opportunity to learn much about DIY building or agriculture.
I am an excellent writer (at least, so I'm told) and an outgoing people person. I have a lot of experience with community organizing and outreach and coordination. But really, I want to expand upon skills I don't have, especially practical ones. Give me a try - or give me a call and I'm sure I'll convince you that my desire to learn translates into quick upskilling and meaningful contributions to your projects.

I am trying to write my first solo album, and also am co-directing a documentary film with two of my cousins back home. I'm super into playing all kinds of games, especially cards, or getting creative and making up my own games with friends. I'm all about silliness, spontaneity and warmth. There's nothing I enjoy more than a good conversation.
