    Description

    Hi,
My name is David and I'll tell you a bit about me. I grew up in Lisboa, and always lived, studied and worked there, until a few years ago I started feeling less and less happy with the kind of life I had in the city. So one day I decided to change the stressful kind of life I had for a more quiet life, in a family owned property in the country side. I guarantee that was one of the best decisions in my life!
I have 2 beautiful kids of 6 and 16 yo who are here on weekends and holidays, and also 1 cat and 2 dogs but also my brother's dogs and cats show up here all the time (he's my nearby neighbor) so we are surrounded by plenty of friendly
    pets.

The property is a 3 hectares (30.000 m2) piece of land, close to Lisboa (50Km), in front of Cape Espichel, just next to the Ocean and beautiful cliffs and near the beach.
This land has belonged to our family for 50 years. I live in a wooden Bungalow and our project is based on a small Eco farm where we have a small organic garden and some fruit trees from where we take many of the delicious vegetables we eat from spring to Autumn. Although I still eat some fish and meat, I try to have as much vegetarian meals as possible. We also have couple of cosy wood cabins we rent in the Summer.

Harmony with nature and a sustainable way of life are major concerns. Electricity is provided by solar panels, water comes from our well, we only use biological hygiene and cleaning products, we use dry compost toilets, we compost, recycle and reuse as much as possible.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

There is a lot to see in and and around the area!

Starting with hiking all the paths surrounding the land, you can easily reach the top of the cliffs in the coast (5 mins walk),Cabo Espichel is just a couple of kilometres away.
It takes 20 mins to walk to the closest village (Azoia), where you can find two cafes and a minimarket. There are buses daily to go to Sesimbra (the biggest town in the area and also quite touristy 10km away from our place).
From Sesimbra there here are also several daily buses to Lisbon or Setubal ( in case you want to spend a day in the city).

If you prefer to go to the beach it will take you another 20/25 mins to walk to Praia da Foz, the closest one. Further more you can find other beaches along the coast. There are also some hidden gems we'll be happy to show you :)
