Description
Hi there,
My name is Chloe but go by my nickname Joe. I am from Miami Florida. Currently, I am living in Glasgow, Scotland and attend the University of Glasgow. I am in my third year of studying Sociology and Social and Public Policy.
In Miami, I worked in a pottery studio and specialty coffee shop. My free time was spent driving down to the Everglades and cycling during sunrise. I am the youngest girl of 5 kids (4 girls, 1 boy), all super close in age :) I grew up in South Miami, raising 16 chickens in my backyard and gardening. I spent a good chunk of time in the wilderness of North Carolina each year of my childhood. I am an avid hiker and creek hopper, ready for adventure and exploration in any free time. Drawing, singing around a campfire, knitting, sudoku, and dancing are some of my passions.
I love being creative and connecting with others. I would consider myself a pretty open book, I am always excited to hear about other people's journeys and learn from them!!!
I have no dietary restrictions and I am open to everything! I love to cook and have fun trying new foods.
I spent July of 2021 road tripping and camping the Southeast Coast of the USA and WWOOF-ed at a farm called the Lavra in San Luis Obispo California. We worked on building a house and rebuilding garden plots. I loved the community feel of the farm.
Spring of 2023, I stayed in the mountains of Switzerland, working with a team of 10 volunteers on wagon building and other tasks.
March of 2024, I helped out at an off-grid quinta in Portugal, building a roof, plumbing, planting, and fence building. This time was so wonderful and I felt so connected to nature!
December/January of 2024/2025, I rang in the new year with the wonderful Alberto at his project called Pachama, in Sicily.
Workaway has brought me unbelievable joy and purpose, and I look forward to being a helping hand to many future projects!!!
Cant wait to spend more time in nature, learn new skills, and connect with other likeminded people :)
