Description

Hi, I'm Jess! I'm from Jersey, a tiny island between England and France. While it's beautiful, it now feels like one big retirement home, and at 21, I’m needing adventure and connection. I’m ready to explore the world beyond its shores.
New Zealand has always fascinated me. People seem laid-back, open-hearted, and deeply connected to nature and community. I’m eager to immerse myself in the culture, meet new people, and most importantly, give something back.
I’m hardworking, passionate, and driven by a hunger for change. I've worked in retail for 2 years, had little experience in a finance company, and spent the last year working for the Government of Jersey. I have taken so much from my past work experience, and I believe each has contributed to who I am today. I enjoyed the social aspects of retail work, and it taught me that improved communication is key under pressure.
Whether it’s lending a hand, learning a new skill, or simply sharing stories over a cup of tea, I’m excited to contribute and grow.

When I was younger, I was very focused on my education. I worked hard to get good grades and pushed myself at GCSEs. I was a very dedicated student and achieved good grades. I went through with a levels and working at the same time, and found love for work. I worked in a supermarket and loved helping customers and meeting new people. I went into finance for a little bit but realised I didn’t enjoy work that was making the rich richer. I then went into the government and have worked the past year in the health departments innovation team. It was the most rewarding job I have had as we could see the impact our work was having.
I am quite crafty, and spent a lot of my time crocheting. I love to dye my hair and cut my sisters hair. I play video games and enjoy just spending time with the people I love.

I am a people’s person, and love to talk and listen to new people. I am pushing myself out of my comfort zone as I want to grow into the person I am meant to be. I want to experience more, see more and meet more people. I am looking forward to giving my all wherever I go!
