Hi :)
My name is Ruben, I'm 24 years old and I'm from Germany. Thanks to the Rotary Youth Exchange program I had the opportunity to live one year in Upstate New York. I had three great host families, attended school and luckily also got to travel a bit.
Since I am back I am a member of Rotex 1800 e.V. It's a club that organizes events for exchange students who come to Germany for one year. We also prepare the ones who are going abroad.
Part of every exchange year is a three week long Europe Tour. This year I was part of the organizing team and also traveled as one of seven tour guides with 42 exchange students around Europe.
Every year I get to meet amazing people from all around the world. That's why I enjoy being a member of Rotex and am looking forward to everyone who is arriving this summer.
Besides being a volunteer for Rotex, I study User Experience Design. By now I have been working as working student for two years. So I have quite a broad knowledge about how apps and websites are designed and work on your phone or computer. I am also a passionate photographer (instagram @ruben.weisser) and currently try to improve my cinematography skills.
But now it's time to to travel to South America and actually experience the culture there and to learn Spanish.

I stayed in Mompiche in December for 3 weeks. All in all I had a great time. Usually I worked in the mornings. One task was to clean the restaurant area from leaves around 8:00 am every day.
