Hola :)
My name is Ruben, I'm 30 years old and I'm from Germany.

This time I'm taking 3 months off of work so that I can travel to improve my Spanish. My goal is to become as fluent as possible to better connect with people and experience your country and culture on a much deeper level than before. The good news is: My Spanish is already much better compared to my first trip trip to Latin America in 2018/19 when I started learning.

Some more about me:
I'm a user experience designer and have more than 6 years experience in the field of e-commerce. Most of the time I have been optimizing the digital customer experience for clients in the travel industry.

My first big trip without any family member was my exchange year to the USA in 2011 / 12. Thanks to the Rotary Youth Exchange program I had the opportunity to live in Upstate New York for one year. I had three great host families, attended school and luckily also got to travel a bit.

After my exchange, I used to be a member of Rotex 1800 e.V. for many years. It's a club that organizes events for exchange students who come to Germany for one year. We also prepare the ones who are going abroad.
Part of every exchange year is a three week long Europe Tour. In 2018 I was part of the organizing team and also joined as one of seven tour guides and traveled with 42 exchange students around Europe.

In my free time I like to go on walks or hiking. I am also a passionate about photography and cinematography. (instagram @ruben.weisser)

I stayed in Mompiche in December for 3 weeks. All in all I had a great time. Usually I worked in the mornings. One task was to clean the restaurant area from leaves around 8:00 am every day.
