Description
After some years of looking for a property to escape the rush and heat of the big city, we found a lovely place in the centre of Portugal end of 2019, right before the "Covid 19" incident happend.
Everything bad comes with something good, and with the pandemic and the world wide restrictions of human rights came the possibility to work from home. We decided to work from our new home close to Tomar and arrived in August 2020. In February 2022 we received our beloved son Álvaro.
We are seven in total, my husband, my son, me, two wonderfull dogs and two sweet cats. Most of the year we have friends and family around who either want to have some nice holidays in the warmth or help us with some of our projects.
The property has 8.600m², four ruins and a meanwhile renovated house where we live in. We further started rebuilding one of the ruins which shall soon provide two bed rooms, a kitchen and a bath room for guests.
The next big projects besides finishing this community space will be our garden and building a wooden deck for our pool.
In the long term we want to rebuild the other ruins too, but first things first.

Help
We are looking for helpers who have an interest in gardening or experience in renovating or building houses. Plastering, tiling, wood work, electrical installations....we need help with all of it.
We have many olive and other fruit trees, which need to be pruned and mantained. We want to start a vegetable garden and install a drip irrigation system.

Accommodation
We can offer few tents and soon two guest rooms. You can come with your own camper van. We share a bath room and kitchen. Soon we will have a seperate bath room and kitchen for helpers and guests.
My husband is a chef and cooks delicious meals for all of us in the evening (vegan, if you like). In the morning we provide porridge with fruits and nuts. There is water available the hole day and coffee in the morning.
What else ...
After helping or on the weekends you can go fishing, swimming or wake boarding. The next river beach is about 10-15 min drive. You can go hiking in the traditional forests around us or even drive 50 min to the ocean and go surfing. We love to spend time together, good music, good drinks, good food, cuddling and playing with our animals and are simply enjoying our lives in this beautiful country. We can pick you up from the next airport or train station in Tomar.
