Hey there, we are Lennart, 29 year old and a former Ranger, and Marie, 31 years old and an online tutor, from Germany. In autumn 2024 we started a journey around the world to meet people from different cultures, learn new skills and explore the beautiful nature around us.
Part of the workaway experience for us is to have good conversations about topics neither can imagine yet.

We always try to pick up some basic knowledge of the language that is spoken in the country we're in. While Lennart is constantly improving his English, Marie is fluent and happy to teach German and English. However, we would love to have the opportunity to learn Spanish (more than "Hola, qué tal? ") :)

We both have a certificate in adventure based learning - similar to Outward Bound. But apart from that have different skillsets that complement each other quite well.

Lennart worked as a Ranger in a NP for 4 years and before that he was a gardener for 8 years. He's passionate about fruit and vegetable gardening and can give your trees a nice new cut ;)
He loves his DIY wood-projects and has build some of his furniture ( e.g. a foosball table) and some small buildings like a greenhouse und a terrace.

Marie is originally an aerospace engineer and now dabbles in teaching kids to progam computer games online ( it slowly becomes more than a side hustle ;) ). She has fair knowledge in general maintenance (fixing equipment like chippers, changing oil, fixing fences, painting etc.) and weeding. She spent a lot of time looking after and tutoring siblings, classmates, friends and neighbours kids.

What else ...

90% of the time we travel togehter, but here and there we're happy to go our individual ways.

We share of love for board and card games, which tend to accumulate more quickly than we can say "Hi" :D

While Lennart keeps up with the world politics and preserving food, Marie is the "granny" and knits or crochets in the colder months. In the summer she can be found on the Lacrosse pitch. We both love being outdoors and to play all sorts of sports.
