    ## Off-Grid Farm Build + Animal Care in Dominica (May–Feb) 🌿🏕️🐾

Big update from our little paradise in Dominica…

We’ve nearly completed our **first earthbag home unit** (a huge milestone!) and are now starting construction on **unit number two**, which we’ll be building between **now (May) and February 2027**.

We’re looking for adventurous, hands-on people who’d love to be part of this next chapter while experiencing life off-grid in one of the most beautiful parts of the Caribbean.

    ### Current Accommodation

At the moment, we only have a tent and single mattress and sheets available, so this is ideal for someone who enjoys nature, simplicity, and outdoor living.

To be fully transparent our bathrooms are both currently rustic and still evolving (we only have a curtain door at the moment!), but we’ve just hosted one lovely person here for 5 weeks (camping in his own tent) and it worked absolutely fine. If you’re easygoing and adaptable, you’ll be right at home.

    ### What We’re Building

Our 1.76-acre off-grid farm sits high in the hills above Calibishie, surrounded by jungle, ocean views, rivers, waterfalls, and even year-round whale watching.

    Current projects include:
    • Earthbag building (unit #2)
    • Land development & planting
    • General farm projects
    • Animal care and daily off-grid living

    We share the land with:
    1 dog

We’re a family of four building our dream off grid life here in the hills of Calibishie, Dominica. After stepping away from the conventional path, we chose to create something slower, simpler, and more connected to nature while also building a lifestyle that gives us the freedom to travel often as a family and work from anywhere.

Right now our main focus is completing our earthbag home project and starting unit number two, but our lifestyle often takes us travelling too, which means from time to time we also look for the right people to stay here and care for the land and animals while we are away.

Our two boys are a huge part of the energy here. They are curious, adventurous, full of life, and usually barefoot exploring the land, helping with projects, climbing trees, building things, and making friends with whoever comes to stay. Family, freedom, adventure, and creating something meaningful from the ground up are at the heart of everything we are building here, and we love connecting with people who feel inspired by that way of living.
If you’ve ever wanted to learn earthbag building, experience off-grid Caribbean farm life, and wake up to jungle sounds and ocean views… this could be for you.
