Description
Hi! I’m a French woman in my 40s. I first arrived in Australia in 2022 on a Working Holiday Visa. Since then, I’ve done several volunteering jobs through the HelpX platform, mostly gardening.
I’m currently living in Darwin with my partner. I work in seasonal jobs or volunteer with him as a camp helper, as he is a tour guide for camping tours.
In France, I worked for 10 years in organic agriculture, mainly fruit picking and vineyard work. I also worked for many years in care and support for people with disabilities.
I like cooking (mostly vegetarian, but I can adapt), I enjoy learning new recipes and trying different types of food. I like hiking, running, and going to the gym when possible.
I've also completed a Working Holiday visa in Canada (2017–2019), mostly in Revelstoke and Lake Louise Ski Resort, working as a prep cook. I also volunteered in a few places on Vancouver Island through HelpX and met awesome people I'm still in contact with.
Before coming to Australia, I worked for 4 years in a ski resort in the French Alps.
When I’m not able to volunteer alongside my partner, I’m happy to help with short-term jobs or small volunteering projects to stay active and useful. -
