I'm Mark, I have enjoyed dipping in and out of work away as a volunteer for quite a few years now and in turn am pleased to have travelled extensively and helped out many hosts with their building projects in various climates and conditions.

I am qualified workshop carpenter and through travelling and working around the world from a young age, have picked up many skills, not just in construction and maintenance but also in listening and showing compassion to those around him. He can use chainsaws, strimmers etc and enjoys outdoor work and solving problems.

I enjoyed my stay at Liesbeth's very much. The house and gite are large, well equipped and comfortable. Liesbeth herself is a warm and attentive person. Her artwork and sculptures are impressive, we shared interesting conversations over coffee or wine, the planning for jobs was clear and we had open communication. Whoever employs Mark as a volunteer is a lucky guy. For me Mark was kind of a jackpot. He is a dedicated professional and a wonderful person. Mark came here for some days or weeks and stayed at the end several months. What he did for me and the mill is nearly uncountable, he built magnificent bunk beds out of pallets, he fixed the roof, did the… read more

I had a great experience here at the Mill. Nikolaus is a very considerate and generous host. 10/10 for the plentyful and delicious food :) The Mill is a beautiful location, a hidden oasis, and i am sure it will attract many travellers for many years. Mark is a really nice person , very easy to get along with and a fabulous volunteer , he helped me do several things , all were done to a very high standard , he is an excellant carpenter , in fact everything he helped with was done carefully and with care , any host would be very lucky to have Marks help , he's Fab !

My 3, (and a bit) weeks here was great. The work was varied and fun and the setting is beautiful and fantastic for exploring, walking or chilling.
