Description
I am a Dutch woman of 73 years painter and sculpture (documentary filmmaker before) and moved to France after my retirement to an old farmers house on the countryside in the middle of France.
I have a lot of energy and I like to be busy with creative projects, both in the house and in the garden. I changed the interior and exterior areas and I made a studio, where I spend a lot of time painting.
I have a grown-up son and daughter. They live respectively in Sweden and the Netherlands.
I speak Dutch, Swedish (lived 7 years in Sweden), English and French and understand Danish (lived 3 years in Denmark) and Norwegian.
I only ever offer initially up to a two weeks stay with the possible option of extending the time if both host and helpers are happy with each other.Types of help and learning opportunities
Help with Eco Projects
Gardening
DIY and building projects
Creating/ Cooking family meals
Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
It is an inspiring place for creative people (there is space to draw, paint, make sculpture, to write and to make music) and for people who likes nature (who wants to cycle, walk).
I gave drawing lessons and did some sculpture so probably I can give creative people some advice in drawing or sculpture.
I am also interested in all kind of ecological projects so if there are people who like to experiment with eco-projects I hopefully can offer space to do so.Help

The house is in the Indre in the middle of France in a quiet surrounding with a lot of varied nature (forest, meadows, lakes and nice little typical French villages). It is located in the triangle of Châteauroux, La Châtre and Argenton. It is not too far from Paris (two hours by train). There is possibility to visit cinema's, concerts and theatre within 30 km.

She did a lot of good work in the garden and made delicious meals. We had among others a tapa evening which she all organized and we had enough to invite my neighbors. I was a guest in my own house and learned how to make tapas.
It could not have been better. Thank you Andrea!
Marc, you know that you are always welcome to tell your adventures and I wish you so many nice travels and I hope that you will meet many interesting people.
Good luck and see you again! Liesbeth
