I am a vet from Germany with focus on farm animals and horses and worked for 3.5 years in research before traveling to NZ. Aside from that I have working experience in giving riding lessons, stable work, pizza delivery, and selling in a bakery. During my workaway experiences I helped with weeding, cleaning, mowing, harvesting, fencing, easy construction projects, dog/house sitting and milking cows. I had a farm assistant position on a dairy farm during calving and helped out in two different large animal practices in New Zealand.

Leonie and Louis stayed with us for one week. The are an excellent, fun and friendly couple who worked hard despite another bout of poor winter weather! I stayed in the sleepout for two weeks and had a great time. Caro is a very friendly, open-minded host and provided an organized list of the tasks which needed to be done. The flexible working hours are an absolute bonus!
